PBJJF RULES BOOK

 

FORMAT – SINGLE ELIMINATION

All divisions will follow a single elimination system. Winners advance through the bracket, and athletes who lose a match are eliminated from the competition.

In this format, the athlete who wins all their matches will receive the gold medal, and the runner-up in the final will receive the silver medal.The two athletes who lose in the semifinals will compete in a third-place match, and the winner of that match will earn the bronze medal.

Please note that PBJJF cannot ensure the attendance of all registered athletes. Bracket results will reflect only the athletes who show up and compete.

  

THE TOURNAMENT IS PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY.

We do not take late registrations or registrations at the event!

Early Registration - $109

Per Absolute Division – $20

Normal Registration – $119

Per Absolute Division – $25

Late Registration – $139

Late Per Absolute Division – $30

Spectator fee -- $20 (Please note that payment for spectator fees will only be accepted via card.Cash payments will not be available at the event. Be sure to bring a valid debit or credit card to ensure smooth entry).

REGISTRATION:

  • We strive to ensure that our events can comfortably host as many participants as possible. However, to maintain a high standard of quality, there is a maximum capacity.
  • PBJJF reserves the right to close registration either when full capacity is reached or by the specified registration deadline, whichever occurs first.
  • Providing false information during registration, including but not limited to date of birth, can result in immediate disqualification. Such actions may lead to suspension or even permanent exclusion from future PBJJF events.



REFUND POLICY

  • The registration fee is not refundable. PBJJF cannot assure that all athletes will attend the tournament. Consequently, PBJJF will not provide refunds to athletes who are left without a match due to their opponent's absence.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable. However, athletes who cancel their registration before the deadline will receive a coupon code equivalent to the registration fee. This coupon can be used as a credit for any future PBJJF tournament. Cancellation requests made after the deadline will not be eligible for a coupon code.



ATHLETE RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCHEDULE

  • Athletes are responsible for understanding and adhering to the sport's rules and guidelines. Please refer to the schedule section to determine when you need to be at the event, prepared to compete, and in the warm-up area.
  • Competitors should be at the venue and ready to compete at least one hour before their division’s scheduled start time, as the tournament may run ahead of schedule. The posted start times in the event’s schedule are approximate and can vary throughout the day due to factors beyond our control.



MEDALS AND TROPHIES

  • Athletes who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their division will receive a medal at the event. All medals must be collected at the event's podium. PBJJF does not mail out unclaimed or lost medals after the tournaments.
