Description
The PJJL Kona Gi Open is a Gi-only tournament with divisions for all ages (4 and up), weight classes, and skill levels. Our mission is to deliver a professional, well-organized experience for athletes and spectators, showcasing the talent of Hawai‘i’s Jiu Jitsu community and raising the standard for competition across the islands.

Eligibility: Open to all of Hawai‘i

Weigh-In Options:
- Pre-Weigh-Ins (Optional): Friday, December 5 at the venue at (TBA)
- Event Day Weigh-Ins: Saturday, December 6 starting at 8:00 am
Uniform: Gi-only competition.
Registration Deadlines
Early Bird Registration Deadline: Now → Sunday, October 12 (11:59 pm HST)
Normal Registration Deadline: Monday, Oct 13 → Sunday, November 9 (11:59 pm HST)
Late Registration Deadline: Monday, Nov 10 → Sunday, November 30 (11:59 pm HST)
Pre-Event Deadlines
Weight Class Changes – 5 days before the event
Last day to change your registered weight class.
Division Merging – 5 days before the event
Uncontested divisions will be merged on this day.
Schedule Release – 1 day before the event
The full match schedule will be published.

Spectator and Coach Passes
Spectator Fee
- Free entry during the first 30 minutes after doors open
- After that: $10 (ages 10 and up)
Coach Passes
Each academy receives 3 free passes, available on a first come, first served basis at the door. No advance request is required.
