Description
This is the first ever NFC kickboxing tournament that we have opened up to all ages. The event will be sanctioned by the ISKA. You can view the ISKA rule set by clicking HERE
All fights will take place in the two NFC cages. This is a real kickboxing tournament and not a smoker or "no knockdown tournament". The maximum amount of fights you'll be able to have, should you win, is 3 fights in this tournament.
The NFC Southeast Kickboxing Championship is open to males and females. Divisions are 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, 18 and under and over 18 years of age.
For those under 18 we have 3 classes of fighters (0 fights, 1-2 fights and 3 fights or more experience).
For those over 18 years of age, we divide you by 0-2 fights or 3 fights or more.
Any fights that you've done in smokers, "no knockdown tournaments" or gym fights do NOT count on your record. Only sanctioned kickboxing fights count on your record when registering for this event.
Example: if you're 2-0 in "no knockdown tournaments" and 1-1 at an ISKA tournament......you have had two fights with a record of 1-1. You do not count the unsactioned fights.
Our past NFC fight nights and Brew Jitsu events have turned Monday Night Garage in west midtown into the #1 location for fights in Atlanta! We turn this 15,000 square foot brewery into a fun fight atmosphere not only for the kickboxing purists, but also for your friends and family that have never been to a kickboxing tournament.
The NFC Southeast Kickboxing Championship follows our model of NFC Brew Jitsu by making it the LEAST expensive kickboxing tournament in Atlanta with pre-registration prices at only $25! After the $25 pre-registration price, the price will increase to $50 then $100.
We keep the list of registered athletes on Smoothcomp hidden until the price increases on September 1. If you want to save money, register early and get in for only $25, $50 or $75. After September 1 the price jumps and the list of athletes registered will be made public.
Please note that we will do our best to keep people where they register. But if we find that you don't have anyone in your division, we will contact you and try to move you into a different division. You'll have the option to accept the move or say no and we will refund you.
All fighters must wear headgear and shinguards for all fights, including the finals. You must supply your own cup, mouthpiece and headgear. You can also use your own gloves, headgear and shinguards as long as approved by the ISKA the day of the tournament. If they do not approve, we'll have plenty of gloves, shinguards and headgear to use.
We will decide on glove size as we get closer to the event and notify all contestants.
Weighins will be done via Facebook Live in a closed group so that you do not have to travel to weighins on Friday, September 12. Directions will be given later to do them from your home or gym to make it more convenient for you.
All fighters over 18 on fight day must provide a blood test (HIV, Hep B, Hep C) that's been done within 180 days of September 13. And an eye exam within 1 year of September 13 which can be found HERE. All fighters under 18 on fight day do not need a blood or eye test.
REAL TIME SCHEDULE
We are utilizing Smoothcomp registration for this event. This means during the tournament you'll be able to see the live updated schedule for both mats and see when you'll be competing. A real-time schedule by bracket and real-time schedule by match order will be featured on large TV monitors at the event allowing you access to the most up-to-date information available. During the event, you will be able to access this information from your mobile device as well.
