Description
Our tournaments will feature a double-elimination format for brackets with four or more competitors. If you lose before the finals, you’ll have a chance to compete for third place.
NextGen Bracket System Update
Adults/Masters:
• 2 competitors: The winner is determined by a best-of-three match series. If both matches are tied, a third match will decide the winner.
• 3 competitors: A round-robin format will be used.
• 4 to 15 competitors: Double elimination rules apply. After your first loss (if it’s not in the finals), you can still fight for third place.
• 16 or more competitors (Gi/No-Gi): The bracket will be split into subdivisions. The winners of each subdivision will advance to a single elimination final bracket.Semi-finalists will compete for third place.
• No-shows: If a competitor doesn’t show up, they will be disqualified, and the bracket will proceed as planned.
Teens, Kids, and Juveniles:
For brackets with eight or more participants, we may divide the group to enhance the competition experience. This prevents extended match durations and allows for more medals to be awarded. The split is based on Date of Birth to ensure fairness.
