COMPETITION DETAILS

• Efforts will be made to schedule the majority of matches on Sunday, but matches may also be scheduled on Saturday depending on the number of competitors.

• LigaBJJ does not make announcements through loudspeakers. Competitors must monitor their match times on screens and through their phones via the software.

• There is only one opportunity for an official weigh-in. Test scales will be available, but failure to meet the weight requirement for the registered category will result in automatic disqualification.

• If an athlete decides not to compete for any reason, 70% of the registration fee will be forfeited as a fixed and anticipated penalty due to the operational costs incurred by LigaBJJ.

• By registering for the tournament, the athlete consents to the use of their image in LigaBJJ promotional materials, freely, expressly, and voluntarily.

• The athlete must sign a liability release before entering the competition area.

Rules

The tournament is based on IBJJF rules and categories.

The tournament will follow the rules and categories of the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation):

• Falsifying registration information, including but not limited to date of birth and/or age, will result in immediate disqualification without a refund of the registration fee. LigaBJJ reserves the right to request original identification documents if necessary.
• Athletes are required to compete in the gender category corresponding to their sex assigned at birth, regardless of any gender transition. LigaBJJ reserves the right to request original identification documents if necessary.

Weigh-In

Weigh-ins will take place 15–20 minutes before the first match.
