About the Event
The Las Vegas Little Kings tournament is a no-gi jiu-jitsu tournament for kids and teens, designed to give young athletes a high-level competition experience in a structured, safe, and exciting environment.
This event uses a Modified PGF-style ruleset adapted for youth competitors. While this event does not qualify athletes for the PGF, competitors will have the opportunity to earn prizes, recognition, and championship hardware.
Who Can Compete?
- Ages 4–15
- Two-Year Age Splits:
- 4-5
- 6-7
- 8-9
- 10-11
- 12-13
- 14-15
- Boys and Girls divisions
- Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions when applicable
- Weight classes determined after registration closes

Tournament Format
Round Robin Format
- Athletes compete against every other athlete in their division when possible
- Match count determined by division size
- Designed to maximize mat time and development
Modified PGF Youth Ruleset
- Submission Only
- 4-minute matches
- Victory by submission or referee’s decision
- No points
- No advantages
Divisions are ranked based on wins, with tie-breakers determined by referee criteria as needed.
Rules prioritize safety, activity, and skill development.

Free coach access per gym:
- 1–2 competitors: 1 coach
- 3–10: 2 coaches
- 11–15: 3 coaches
- 16–20: 4 coaches
- 21+: 5 coaches
