Submission Only & Points (flip a coin to decide)
_____________
Ruleset:
Modified UWW Submission Grappling & Submission Only (PGF Overtime Rules)
All Gi, No-Gi, and Absolute Division matches will be contested under one of two formats:
- Modified UWW Submission Grappling Rules
- Submission Only with PGF Overtime Rules
Immediately before each match, competitors will report to the mat, and a tournament official will conduct a coin flip. The result of the coin flip will determine which ruleset will be used for that match.
- Heads: Modified UWW Submission Grappling Rules
- Tails: Submission Only with PGF Overtime Rules
Both competitors will compete under the same randomly selected ruleset for that match.
Competitors are responsible for understanding both rulesets prior to the event. Detailed information will be listed on our Rules Page, and a rules meeting will be held at 9 AM before the competition begins.
Every match is a surprise. Competitors must be prepared to win under both a points-based format and a submission-focused format, rewarding well-rounded grapplers who can adapt to any situation.
