KCL BJJ X LONDON GRAPPLE INTERVARSITY TOURNAMENT: 1ST MARCH 2026
Intervarsity BJJ tournament for universities.
Welcome to KCL BJJ's 5th Intervarsity Tournament for the academic year 2025/26! We are extremely excited to be back at London Grapple, our head gym, yet again to produce another successful event!

RULES: Modified IBJJF No-Gi Rules

FORMAT
Single Elimination (subject to change)
DIVISIONS (GRAPPLING EXPERIENCE):
- Less than 6 Months Experience (Beginner)*
- 6 months to 2 years (Intermediate)
*The BEGINNER division is strictly for competitors who have begun grappling this academic term, meaning from September 2025 onwards.
The goal for this division is for people who have just begun their grappling journey and want to join their first competition knowing they will not be going against significantly more experienced competitors.
We will not tolerate sandbagging of any kind in this division as it is meant for beginners to have a fun, competitive experience.
The 6 months to 2 years division is for experienced "white belts" who have substantial grappling experience. Thus, Blue Belts are not allowed to register for this division as well as grapplers who have been training for over 2 years.
DISCLAIMER: Any competitor suspected of being significantly outside of the skill level of any bracket on competition day may be suject to disqualification. Full discretion to do so lies with KCL BJJ. We may offer a refund depending on the circumstances.

Once you have registered for the event, the registration fee (£25) is payable through KCLSU, instructions on how to buy a ticket below:

- KCL student: Please add this to basket, you may proceed to checkout after logging in, and we will approve your registration
- Non KCL student: You will need to create a guest account in order to purchase your ticket, please do this by registering for a guest account. Once you have validated your account, you may log into KCLSU and purchase your ticket, then we will approve your registration.

- Rooster: 46.5 kg (103 lbs)
- Light-Feather: 51.5 kg (114 lbs)
- Feather: 56.5 kg (125 lbs)
- Light: 61.5 kg (136 lbs)
- Middle: 66.5 kg (147 lbs)
- Middle Heavy: 71.5 kg (158 lbs)
- Heavy: 76.5 kg (169 lbs)
- Super Heavy: No maximum
Weigh-ins will take start at 1.30PM. Please arrive 30-45 minutes before your first match.
YOU MUST MAKE WEIGHT IN ORDER TO COMPETE, if you are overweight you will be disqualified without refund.
DISCLAIMER: Competitors may be subject to changes in weight classes/divisions if there are too few entrants in a division. Divisions will be locked 1 day before the event. We are happy to refund anyone who is unsatisfied with any changes made to their bracket before this date.
PRIZES
In addition to the usual medals given out, gold medalists of each division will take home a London Grapple rashguard (worth £40).
REGISTRATION
Registration is limited to competitors who are attending a University BJJ Club (e.g. KCLBJJ, UCLBJJ, LSEBJJ, SOASBJJ) or entrants who are currently studying at university.
If you are from a university outside of London, please feel free to register as well.
If you attend an external gym please drop us a message on our socials, we would definitely be willing to make an exception.
