Weigh-In Times:

8:30am - 8:45am: U9s, U11s (Competition begins at 9am)

8:30am - 9:15am: U13s, U15s

10:00am - 10:30am: Cadets, Kyu Grades, Adaptive, Para-judo

10:30am - 11:00am: Juniors

11:00am - 11:30am: Seniors & Veterans

  • If you do not make weight, you and your coach (or parent, for junior players) must report to the tournament coordinator and ensure that movement into other divisions is agreed.
  • Failure to show up on time for weigh in, will result in your name being removed from the draw.

TOURNAMENT RULES

This tournament will be conducted under the revised IJF 2025 rules.

  • All entrants must be financially affiliated with Judo Victoria, Judo Australia, or the relevant International Judo Federation body.

Present your Judo Victoria membership card at the weigh-in.

  • All participants must have a White judogi and Participants aged 15 and over wearing a green belt or higher must also have a Blue judogi.
  • The minimum tournament age is 6 years.
  • Ages are defined as the age on December 31 of the calendar year of the tournament.
  • Refunds will be given in accordance with Judo Victoria policies.
  • Draws will be created in accordance with the Judo Victoria Sporting Code.

8.30am - Referees meeting

9.00am - Tournament will commence in the following order:

  • U9 Boys and Girls (born in 2018 and later) (divisions may be combined, boys and girls)
  • U11 Boys and Girls (born in 2016 and 2017)

Medal presentations (U9s and U11s)

  • Kata (competition will proceed in parallel with shiai on adjoining mats.)

Medal presentations (Kata)

  • U13 Boys and Girls (born in 2014 and 2015)
  • U15 Boys and Girls (born in 2012 and 2013

Medal presentations (U13s and U15s)

  • Cadet Men and Women (over 15 years and under 18 years)
  •  Junior Men and Women (over 15 years and under 21 years)
  • Kyu grade Men and Women (senior white, yellow, and orange belts only)
  • Senior Men and Women (15 years and over)
  • Veteran Men and Women (30 years and over) (may be further divided by age)

HOW TO REGISTER FOR KATA

Two registrations are required per pair for each kata entered.

When you enter, in the Add note section, nominate yourself as UKE or TORI and also your kata partner's name. Your partner must also enter the same kata, nominating themselves for the opposite role.

You may only enter the same kata twice, IF in the opposite role AND with a different partner.

Competitors must wear white judogi. The kata will be run in parallel to shiai.
