Our Judo Kai Challenges are focused on player development in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Ideal for both new competitors and those wishing to build their tournament experience. No judo organization membership is required to participate.
COST
Online Registration via Smoothcomp ONLY. No walk-ups or mail-ins accepted. Registration will be capped at 150 competitors. REGISTER EARLY!

- $5 Admission (spectators over 5 years old; no fee for coaches)
SCHEDULE
- 8:00 - Doors Open for Check-In
- 8:45 - Mats Cleared
- 9:00 - Tournament Start
RULES
***Modified IJF rules will be used. Chokes are allowed in all divisions 13+ years old. Arm bars are allowed in Black, Brown, and Veterans divisions only.*** - RULES?
The tournament will use two mat areas with Smoothcomp scoreboards.
We request that all competitors have a properly fitted judo gi; however, this is not a strict requirement for participation. BJJ gis are generally acceptable so long as they are not overly small/tight.
There will not be an official weigh-in for this event. Coaches must certify weights by Friday, November 14, 2025 10am. We reserve the right to spot-check weight if needed.
Tournament Director reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary to insure safety and fairness to all competitors.
SCORING SYSTEM:
- 2-5 Person Divisions - Round Robin
- 6+ Person Divisions - True Double Elimination
- Medals for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place
MATCH TIMES:
- Veterans - 3 Minutes / 1-Minute Golden Score
