A vast majority of my time I spend thinking about where we are and where we are going. Visualizing different scenarios and trying to determine the best way forward that would benefit us all. However, every now and then there comes a time where you find yourself reflecting on the past just to see how far you have come. This is one of those times. 30 years of the Vegas Event is by any measure a momentous accomplishment for us all. And just in case that is not enough then please also entertain the idea that this is the 20th anniversary of the 5.0 system! Yikes!!! So, please try your very best to come and be a part of Kenpo 5.0 history event of a lifetime. We are at a new location in 2025, The Rio Hotel and Casino, and we hope this will be the place we will be for many years to come. As always, we find the best of what we can be to ourselves and each other in the love and friendship in the 5.0 family. Jeff Speakman’s Kenpo 5.0 is proud to announce our 30th Anniversary of JEFF SPEAKMAN WORLD MARTIAL ARTS EVENT. The event will host the Advanced Kids/Teens & Adult Belt Testing, 5.0 Fighter Championships, Seminars, and the “Dinner & A Fight” event! This event gives all of us the opportunity to come together in one venue to test, compete and to train. Please look through the information closely for the details and exciting updates to this event such as a NEW 5.0 GRAPPLING division for our youth ages 4-17 years old, Beg. Yellow Belt and above.
We are excited to announce our new venue, which will be the Rio Hotel & Casino. We are looking forward to making this Hotel our new home. By the time we arrive the $350 million renovation will be close to being completed. Very excited to know that everyone is going to enjoy the amazing amenities including the brand-new food court with affordable prices, brand new Starbucks, completely remodeled 1500 suites in the Ipanema Tower, redesigned four pools, arcade, and mini-golf. Looking forward to another great opportunity to share this experience with all of you!

You will have to create a free SMOOTHCOMP account, complete your profile (no need to fill out Belt/Skill Level or affiliation/team), join academy (search for Jeff Speakman’s Kenpo 5.0 (Your Martial Arts Studio city name)), then revisit https://jskenpo50.smoothcomp.com and choose Jeff Speakman World Martial Arts Event 2025 & click register. The exciting part of this software is that participants will be able to log back in at a future time with their account credentials to update information, add competition divisions (if had not originally signed up for any competition), dinner tickets, t-shirts, raffle tickets, etc..
It is very important that we all book our rooms using the group code; so you can receive the discounted resort fee, newly remodeled Ipanema rooms, and 2 Queen bed upgrade at no extra charge. In return, we receive credit and will be able to use the banquet rooms for our event. We would advise everybody to book their rooms at the Rio Hotel & Casino as soon as possible. The cut-off date for room reservations will be June 6, 2025. Discounted Room Rates: Saturday (July 5th) through Friday (July 11th)- $79/night. Plus $20 per room/night discounted resort fee which provides: In-room WIFI for two devices, two guest admissions to the fitness center, and local/toll free in room phone calls. Self-parking will be at no charge.
