Game Day wants to encourage “Team Spirit” and will be awarding medals for Teams as well as Individuals. 
Game Day welcomes all grappling styles.

HOW TO WIN

Ages 6 - 9yrs: Will have 3 minutes of competition rolling time against everyone in their division. This will be on a 6m x 6m mat space. Points will be awarded for “dominant positional control and submissions.” If there is a submission, the competitors will be stood up and restarted from the middle of the mats until the 3 minutes of rolling time has finished. The points will be cumulative over the day. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 places.

Ages 10 - 11yrs: Will have 3 minutes of competition rolling time against everyone in their division. This will be in an MMA cage. Points will be awarded for “dominant positional control and submissions.” If there is a submission, the competitors will be stood up and restarted from the middle of the cage until the 3 minutes of rolling time has finished. The points will be cumulative over the day. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 places.

Ages 12 - 15yrs: Will have up to 5 minutes of competition rolling time against everyone in their division. This will be in an MMA cage. No points for this age group. Winning will be determined by “dominant positional control and submissions”. If an effective submission is done, the match will end. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 places.

    Weigh Ins and Match Divisions 

    Weigh ins will be open from 8am till 8.50am with competition starting at 9am.

    Age Brackets: 6-7yrs, 8-9yrs, 10-11yrs, 12-13yrs boys, 12-13yrs girls, 14-15yrs boys, 14 -15yrs girls.

    Weight Divisions: 20kg, 25kg, 29kg, 34kg, 39kg, 43kg, 48kg, 52kg, 57kg, 61kg, 66kg, 70kg, 77kg, 77+kg

    Attire & Equipment

    *All competitors must wear a mouthguard.

    *Groin guards are compulsory for all boys.

    *Shorts or Lycra elastic pants with no pockets and reaching at least halfway down the thigh and at most to the knee.

    *Short sleeve rashguard
