Description

Welcome!

We believe that kids' sports should be fun and affordable. BJJ tournaments now are anything but. They are increasingly expensive, loud, crowded, and overwhelming for first-time competitors. Coaches yelling, parents losing control, and kids who want to try competing for the first time are forced to compete against poorly matched peers due to rampant sandbagging. The solution? We're going old school and hosting a friendly dual gym meet to bring back the joy of the sport.

How it works

Every bit of this event has been planned to make a safe and fun experience for both novice and experienced youth competitors. Brackets are by gender, size, and experience - not merely belt level and coaches from both academies will review to ensure the match is perfect. We're excited to allow experienced competitors to lead by example and offer first-time competitors the chance to get their first matches that build confidence, instead of risking injury. This isn't about participation trophies; it's about creating a fair and fun playing field in a sport that no longer has one for the kids getting started now and letting them participate at all.

Code of Conduct

Kids deserve calm matside coaching, supportive silence, and match-end applause from the audience.
