King & Queen of the Mat (KOTM/QOTM) Official Rules
To keep the action fast, exciting, and fan-friendly, both the Beginner and Advanced King/Queen divisions will follow this unique, high-intensity format:
The Match: Grab a partner and roll for 3 minutes OR until the first submission.
The Turnaround: Once the 3-minute timer rings (or a submission occurs), there is a strict 30-second break to find a new opponent.
The Golden Rule: You cannot roll with the same person twice in a row.
Advanced Ruleset: Advanced divisions will follow ADCC-style subs. Strictly NO slams allowed.
Uneven Numbers / Rest Rounds: To ensure total fairness if we have an odd number of competitors, every athlete will be assigned a number at check-in. If you do not have a partner when the round starts, the referee will call out the designated "Rest Round" number for that cycle.
