Welcome to the Carlson Gracie Invitational (CGI) 2025 β an exciting grassroots submission grappling event.

π Location: WΔnaka, New Zealand
π₯ Format: Quintet-style team competition + Women's Superfights
ποΈ Spectator Entry: $10 NZD (Kids under 12 enter free)

- Three Quintet Divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

π° Registration:
- Competitor Fee: $150 NZD (Women Superfights $100NZD)
- Registration is by invitation/team selection. Teams are locked in by early September. If you are interested in competing or putting forward a female athlete for superfights, contact: cgibjj.nz@gmail.com or @cgi_bjj on Instagram
- Participating clubs this year are CG Queenstown, CG Wanaka, CG Invercargill and CG Timaru (CGI 2026 will be open invite!)

- Doors open: 8:00 AM
- Event starts: 9:00 AM
- Beginner Semi-Finals
- Intermediate Semi-Finals
- Women Superfight 1
- Advanced Semi-Finals

- Intermediate Final
- Women Superfight 4
- Advanced Final
- Event finishes: around 5pm
- Note: Matches run one at a time. No overlapping mats.

- Ruleset for superfights depends on experience level
