Season 1 of the BJJ Hero league. Amateur grapplers fight for real prize money - paid out within 7 days.
THE PRIZE MONEY
$4,000 is split across divisions by division size:
10+ athletes per category - $700 per division (1st $400 / 2nd $180 / 3rd $120)
8–9 athletes per category - $450 (1st $250 / 2nd $120 / 3rd $80)
6–7 athletes per category - $250 (1st $125 / 2nd $75 / 3rd $50)
4–5 athletes per category - medals + league points
Bigger division - bigger prize. Bring your training partners.
Every Absolute division has its own separate prize fund on top - see the Absolutes tab. The organizer may increase the total fund.
Ideal Scenario (max prize pool for the winner): Win your weight division. Then take the Absolute of your level.
Example - Men Advanced:
Division win (10+ athletes): $400
Absolute win $135+
Total: $535+
The organizer may increase Absolute funds before finals weekend, so the real number can be higher. Absolute add-on: $30 at registration.

Every match is filmed and you get your footage. Results count toward the Season 1 league ranking.
League points. Season 1 results count toward the annual BJJ Hero ranking with its Grand Prix in 2027. This is season 1 (Asia Conference)

Minimum Participation Threshold
Season 1 Phuket is confirmed once at least 64 athletes have completed registration for that stage. Registration remains open until the published deadline.
If fewer than 64 athletes are registered by the deadline, the Season 1 does not proceed and all entry fees are refunded in full, to the original payment method.
