INTRODUCTION
The Belgian Cup aims to highlight amateur competitors in kickboxing (K1) and Muay Thai (FMT) by offering them an opportunity to gain experience in a secure environment.

I. CATEGORIES
The championship follows a single-elimination tournament format. Boxers are divided into categories based on their style, gender, experience, and weight.
1.1 Style Categories
The style categories are kickboxing (K1 rules) or Muay Thai.
An athlete can register in both styles.
1.2 Gender Categories
The gender categories are male or female.
Note: If a fighter is registered in the wrong gender category, they will be automatically disqualified.
1.3 Experience Categories
For adults, the experience categories are Class N (novice) and Class C (amateur).For juniors (-16 years old), the categories are 12-13 years and 14-15 years.
1.4 Weight Categories

If a boxer is alone in his weight class, he is automatically moved up to the next weight class.
Note: During weigh-in, if a fighter's weight exceeds the limit of their registered category, they may change categories by paying a €10 fee.
II. ORGANIZATION
2.1 Registration
The participation fee is €30 per person per tournament.
Registrations are done exclusively via Smoothcomp.
Payment must be made by bank transfer to LFKBMO asbl:BE53 0688 9097 6753 with the following communication:
- For an individual fighter: BC25 + fighter's full name
- For all fighters from a club: BC25 + club name
No refunds will be issued in case of cancellation.
The registration deadline is October 29, 2025. After this date, no new registrations will be accepted. However, weight categories can be modified until October 15, 2025.
2.2 Schedule
- Check-in: 8:00 AM to 8:45 AMOnly one club representative must check in to collect the wristbands.For Saturday check-ins, payment covers all participating boxers for both Saturday and Sunday.Wristbands are valid for the entire weekend. Lost or torn wristbands will not be replaced.For 1-2 fighters: the team receives 1 wristband per athlete + 2 wristbands for coach(es) and/or caregiver(s).For 3 or more fighters: the team receives 1 wristband per athlete + 3 wristbands for coach(es) and/or caregiver(s).Clubs that miss the check-in deadline are disqualified without a refund.
- For Saturday check-ins, payment covers all participating boxers for both Saturday and Sunday.
- Wristbands are valid for the entire weekend. Lost or torn wristbands will not be replaced.
- For 1-2 fighters: the team receives 1 wristband per athlete + 2 wristbands for coach(es) and/or caregiver(s).
- For 3 or more fighters: the team receives 1 wristband per athlete + 3 wristbands for coach(es) and/or caregiver(s).
- Weigh-in: 8:00 AM to 9:30 AMAthletes must queue at the table assigned to their ring (Ring 1/2/3).Only fighters may cross the barriers to reach the weigh-in area. Coaches and caregivers must wait outside.Fighters must present their ID along with:A valid LFKBMO/VKBMO license for Belgium residents.A license from a foreign federation and an ID for non-residents.Note: Fighters exceeding their registered category’s weight limit may switch categories by paying a €10 fee in cash at the weigh-in.Fighters who miss the weigh-in are automatically disqualified.
- Only fighters may cross the barriers to reach the weigh-in area. Coaches and caregivers must wait outside.

2.3 Tournament Organization

- Fights are organized within each category.
- The number of fights depends on the number of participants.For example:8 fighters = quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final.If the number of participants is not 2, 4, 8, or 16, some fighters may automatically advance to the next round.If a fighter is alone in their category and cannot be moved to another category, their participation will be canceled.Maximum of 16 fighters per category. If more register, the first 16 will be accepted.Fighters from the same club in the same category will be placed in opposite pools to delay their meeting. If they meet, their primary coach decides whether the fight takes place.The winner of the final receives a gold medal.

2.4 Fight Organization
- Fights follow K1 or Full Muay Thaï rules (BKBMO regulations).
- Only fabric hand wraps are allowed. Tape is permitted around the wrist. Hard or "pro" wraps are prohibited.
- Helmets and shin guards are mandatory for all fighters (Class N and Class C).
- Boxing gloves and helmets are provided. Fighters must put them on and take them off in the ring.
- Groin protectors and foam shin guards must be supplied by the fighter or their team.
- Elbow pads are mandatory for Muay Thai (FMT) fights and must be supplied by the fighter or their team.
- Body protectors are mandatory for junior fights and are provided by the federation.
- Fighters must be ready by the start of the previous fight.

- Fight durations:Adults: 3 rounds of 1 minute 30 seconds with 30 seconds of rest between rounds.Juniors: 3 rounds of 1 minute with 30 seconds of rest between rounds.
- Adults: 3 rounds of 1 minute 30 seconds with 30 seconds of rest between rounds.
- Juniors: 3 rounds of 1 minute with 30 seconds of rest between rounds.
