Beach Jiu-Jitsu Submission Championship REGISTRATION IS OPEN TO ALL ACADEMIES! REGISTRATION IS LIMITED! This will be a submission only event in the sand. No-Gi, No Mats. This is a licensed, permitted, and insured event. Police and Medical detail will be onsite. Competitors interested message us on Instagram or email. Individual matches and brackets welcome and open to all competitors. All belt levels and ages welcome.
Rules:
All academies. All levels. All DIvisions Welcome.
Individual competitors welcome in all divisions.
Competition / Match Rules
All matches are in the sand. No gi. No points. No tatami. Submission only.
No divisions allow slams or spikes involving the neck or head. No spinal locks or twists. No eye gouges, eye pokes, or fingers in any orifice. No intentional throwing or kicking of sand at your opponents face. No striking.
Beginners, intermediate, and divisions under 18 years of age. IBJJF legal submissions allowed. No heel hooks, knee bars, or toe holds.
Advanced division heel hooks, knee bars, and toe holds are allowed.
Wrist locks allowed in any division.
The ref will reserve the right to stop any match and award a winner due to a competitor being locked in a submissions and not tapping or not being able to tap. Competitor safety comes first.
Match starts when referee signals.
Referee reserves the right to stop or re-start the competitors at any time in the match. Referee reserves the right to stop a match if a submission is locked in and the opponent does not or is not tapping in order to insure the safety of the competitors.
Referee reserves the right to start the overtime round with the competitors in a standing position or open / closed guard position based on a coin toss.
REFEREE MAY NOT STOP THE MATCH DUE TO THE TIME BEING UP IN THE ROUND. If the Competitors are in an EXCHANGE, SCRAMBLE, SUBMISSION or are being ACTIVE, the round WILL continue if the referee chooses.
No points or advantages are being rewarded.
Disengaging or standing to disengage and not grapple or advance will be penalized. Referee will warn the competitors. The penalties will be considered if there is a refs decision.
DIVISIONS:
*Subject to change. More or less weight classes / divisions could be made based on competitor registrations.
Adult Males Beginner Intermediate, and Advanced
* Divisions could be combined or weights adjusted to best fit the competion.
Adult Females Intermediate and Advanced Division

Teen Divisions Boys Intermediate / Advanced

6 minute Regulation Round. Submission Only
3 minute Overtime Round
* Championship matches may have different time limits
* Super Fights will have different time limits.

Competitors:
Bring lots of water to drink and stay hydrated.
Trim your nails.
All shorts must be considered respectable grappling wear. If your shorts are too tight or short, they may not be approved.
Pack for a day at the beach.
Sand will get in your face and could possibly get in your eyes. We will have water ringside to wash this out if needed. If a competitor unintentionally gets sand in their eye and can't continue it will be considered a forfeit. To date, no competitors have needed to forfeit their match due to sand in the eye.
This is a licensed, permitted, and insured event. A liability waiver will be required to be signed in order to compete. Coaches only will be allowed ringside.
Spectators:
There will be a sitting spectator area inside the event .
Admission Cost for public will be $10.

ALL COMPETITORS AND SPECTATORS MUST FOLLOW PARK AND BEACH RULES. NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL, NO PETS. PLEASE READ SIGNS AT THE ENTRIES WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY COMPETITOR OR SPACTATOR ENTRY INTO THE EVENT OR ASK THEM TO LEAVE THE EVENT IF NEEDED. PARK OFFICIALS INCLUDING BEACH PATROL WILL BE IN THE AREA TO ENFORCE BEACH AND PARK RULES.
Weather: We do not plan to have te reschedule or cancel events. However, this is an outdoor event and we are at the mercy of the weather, which is not in our control. If the event is forced to close due bad weather, it will be rescheduled. Make up days will be the next day weather permitting, or the following weekend. If the event is rescheduled, refunds will be issued or credit for when the event is rescheduled.
