The AVA SUBMISSION GRAPPLING WASHINGTON TOURNAMENT is a Regional (State/Provincial) Tournament and will be ranked in the Season 2026 with 2 x Placement Points

RISE: Elite Youth Divisions
The Rise Elite Youth Division is an open-rank, open-age category for youth athletes aged 4–15, matched by weight only.
This division is designed for top-performing youth athletes pursuing the RISE Elite Youth Title awarded annually at AVA THRONE.
At the end of each season, the #1 ranked athlete in each category (Male Gi, Female Gi, Male No-Gi, Female No-Gi) will be invited to compete for the RISE Title. AVA will work down the rankings to confirm a matched opponent.
Titles are not defended, they are earned anew each year.

SUMMARY
AVA is a submission-only, round robin tournament with a EBI-MODIFIED overtime.
Each Adult competitor is allowed to enter a maximum of six divisions.
Tournament Date:
- Early Weigh-ins - Friday, May 15 from 6:00-8:00 pm - Everett Community College (2000 Tower St, Everett, WA 98201) Fitness Center Gymnasium
- Youth - Adults and Masters - Saturday May 16 | Doors open at 8:00 am and the tournament starts at 9:00 am
- Spectator Entry per day: $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. This includes family and friends. Competitors aged 17 and under may bring ONE parent or guardian at no additional cost.

REGISTRATION PRICES:
· $70 USD Early Bird (Deadline March 1, 2026)
· $90 USD Normal (Deadline April 19, 2026)
· $105 USD Late (Deadline May 10, 2025)
· $35 USD for additional Divisions
Military & First Responder Discount:
Competitors can receive $10 off registration by emailing valid photo ID and proof of service to contact@avagrappling.com before registering.
REFUNDS AND CREDIT POLICY
1. Refunds minus a 5% service fee and credits are available through self-service until the normal registration deadline. From the normal registration deadline until the late registration deadline, ONLY coupon credits will be provided as compensation.
2. Refunds and credits will not be available AFTER the late registration deadline (May 18).
3. Refunds and credits will not be issued for no-shows or withdrawal from participation due to sickness, injuries, or bereavement AFTER the registration closing date (May 18), regardless of supporting evidence.
4. If a participant is left without a match-up, they will receive a FULL REFUND or credit. Alternatively, they may choose to collect ranking points for the season along with the award.
ROUND ROBIN POINTS SYSTEM
The tournament is designed to incentivize submission wins in regulation time.
· Submission in Regulation: Awarded 4 Points
· Submission in Overtime: Awarded 2 Points
· Fastest Escape (Applies only to overtime): Awarded 1 Point
· Win by Decision (Applies if there is no win in OT): Awarded 1 Point
· Win by Walkover (injury mid-match, forfeiture, or no show): Awarded 2 Points
· Win by Disqualification: Awarded 3 Points
WHITE BELT 6 MONTHS AND UNDER DIVISION
New to Jiu-jitsu? We have a 6 months and under White Belt Division to give new competitors the chance to compete fairly against other competitors new to Jiu-Jitsu.
COACHES
One coach is allowed for every three competitors from their team. Additional coaches will need to pay the spectator fee of $15.
We kindly request all coaches to register for our event by filling out the registration form provided at the following link: COACH LIST. Please note deadline to sign up will be on Wednesday the week of the tournament (May 21). You may sign in at the door if you did not make the deadline.
WARM UP AREA
· a separate mat area will be provided for upcoming competitors in the divisions scheduled
