APEX Jiu-Jitsu have put together a BJJ Competition for both GI & NO-GI competitors.
APEX Jiu-Jitsu welcomes you to the APEX OPEN Competition.
We adhere to the IBJJF ruleset, however, all white, blue, and purple belt fights will run for 5 minutes and the scoring will be based on points. This rule set can be viewed at: http://ibjjf.org/rules/.
DATE & LOCATION
This event will be held on Saturday 2nd August 2025 at APEX Jiu-Jitsu Ground floor 1, 3 & 5 Morris Pl, Clifton Terrace, Finsbury Park, London N4 3JG.
Registration Deadline: 29th July 2025.
This tournament is pre-registration only.
REGISTRATION FEES
There will be a registration fee of £40 to enter the competition for both Adult GI & NO-GI (fee applies for each). Kids and Juvinelle GI & NO-GI is a fee of £35. Absolute is £20.
Spectators are welcome for a fee of £5 on the day entry-fee.
MEN & WOMAN DIVISIONS
The competition will include both Gi & NO-GI Brackets and there will be a male and female division. There will be a separate Kids, Juvenile and Adult division. The competition is open to all belt levels across all weight categories.
The competition will allow repechage to determine the brackets.
In addition to the standard division, there will also be an absolute fight for those who medal in their division.

WEIGH-INS
You must check-in and weigh-in at least 60 minutes before your scheduled division start time.
All weigh-ins are without the GI, if you are fighting GI and NO-GI you will only weigh-in once at the GI weight.
There is no weight allowance in any division.
TIMINGS
The full event schedule will be released the week of the event.
All fights will be 5 minutes regardless of the belt ranking.
REFUNDS
If we cannot find an opponent in your division and you do not wish to merge to another, you will be issued a refund following the registration close date.
Refunds will not be given for injury or no longer being able to attend an event. Should either of these reasons occur prior to 2 weeks before an event, we are happy to offer competitors a credit to a future event of ours.
