Kids divisions use round robin with a maximum of 4 fights. Adult divisions use double elimination, and cash prize divisions are elimination.

A submission win is 4 points, points win is 3 points, referee decision win is 2 points, draw or walkover is 1 point, and a loss is 0 points. Places are awarded by total points, with listed tiebreakers including submissions, fastest submission, points, and highest individual winning margin.

White belt winners receive $200 and blue belt winners receive $300 if there are at least 6 people in the division. If fewer than 6 people register, the winner gets their entry fee refunded.

The Advanced Super Bracket winner receives $500 if there are at least 8 people in the bracket. If there are fewer than 8 people, 1st prize is $300; there is 1 male bracket and 1 female bracket.

Weigh-ins open 30 mins before the 1st fight, and competitors can weigh in any time before their 1st fight. Competitors weigh in wearing No gi gear, and adults can weigh in in the morning and come back to fight later in the day.

There is a 0.6 lbs weight allowance. Anyone over 0.6 lbs the weight limit will be disqualified with no refund and will not be moved into a higher division.

Spectator fees are paid cash at the door. Adults are $15, kids are $10, and kids under 5 are free.

There is 1 coach permitted for every 5 competitors. Coach names must be emailed to usa@abjjc.com.au prior to the event, and names not provided will not receive a coaches pass or be allowed matside.
