At our last 6162 Open on April 4th 2026, MICHAEL TOMLINSON won the IBJJF Sponsorship as he ranked the top athlete for the event. We promised, and we delivered! 🏆 Sponsorship Details

The highest ranked athlete at the event, regardless of belt, age, weight, or division, will be awarded a fully funded trip to compete at the next IBJJF European Championship.

The sponsorship includes:

• ✈️ Flights
• 🏨 Accommodation
• 📝 IBJJF registration fee
• ➕ Additional support related to the competition trip

📊 How the Winner Is Determined

• The official Smoothcomp rankings will be published after the event
• The athlete with the highest overall ranking score across the entire event will receive the IBJJF sponsorship

🧩 Competition Format

• Gi and No-Gi divisions
• Round Robin brackets: Everyone is guranteed 2 Matches
• Absolute and Quintet divisions available
• Divisions may be merged where necessary to ensure fair and competitive brackets

🎁 Special Promotion

• FREE RASHGUARD for all Early Bird registrations 
•       Limited to early bird sign-ups only
•       Registration must be approved by the Early Bird deadline to claim the FREE                  Rashguard
•        The FREE Rashguards will be distributed upon arrival on the day of the event

📘 Ruleset

• Rules: All divisions follow IBJJF rules (Quintet divisions will follow Blue belt rules with winner stays on
• Match Format: Round-robin

Weigh-Ins

• Same-day weigh-ins only
• Gi competitors do NOT need to weigh in wearing their Gi

Gi Divisions

• Gi colours: All colours permitted
• Rashguards under the Gi: 
•       ONLY allowed for girls, juvenile girls and all female divisions
•       Not allowed for boys, juvenile boys, and all male divisions

No-Gi Divisions

• Athletes must wear at minimum: 
•       A rashguard 
•       Shorts or spats
• Topless competitors WILL NOT be permitted

Conduct & Safety

• We reserve the right to remove from the premises, disqualify, or cancel participation (without refund) of any individual whose behaviour is not conducive to the safe, respectful, and fair running of the event

⏰ Event Notes

• Same-day weigh-ins only
• Coach passes: Maximum 2 coach passes per academy 
•       Academies must email at least 2 weeks before the event to receive passes

👀 Spectators

• £7 spectator entry fee
