6. Ansbacher Fightclub BJJ-Turnier
91564 Neuendettelsau, Germany
91564 Neuendettelsau, Germany
The participation fees go entirely into the club’s finances. They help us take good care of our members and coaches despite low membership fees and allow us to continue organizing tournaments like this.
You can win incredible emotions, new friendships, valuable competition experience and a medal 🙂
Please note: The number of participants is limited to 400!
At our last tournaments, the participant limit was reached and no further registrations were possible. Please register in time.
If there are no registrations in your desired division yet, feel free to register anyway. If you remain alone in your division, we will inform you in time. You will then have the option to receive a full refund or, if possible, move to another suitable division.
Please also read the FAQs.
Please read all information carefully. You can find more important information about our tournament in the menu above under Divisions and FAQs.
We would like to thank our team in advance.
Our club members, as well as friends, family and acquaintances, help us organize this tournament for you. Without this support, a tournament in this form would not be possible.
We would also like to thank the Ju-Jutsu Verband Bayern for their support.
Our referees have experience in refereeing or will be properly briefed and supported. This helps us ensure a fair, safe and well-organized tournament.
Medical support throughout the tournament will be provided by a team from the Bavarian Red Cross.
We are a member of the Ju-Jutsu Verband Bayern. At our tournament, Gi and No-Gi matches are generally fought under the IBJJF ruleset.
The following applies:
White belts compete under the IBJJF ruleset for white belts. Blue belts and higher compete under the IBJJF ruleset for black belts.
You can find the official IBJJF rule materials here: https://ibjjf.com/books-videos
Please read the rules yourself before competing. Participants and coaches are also responsible for knowing which techniques are allowed and which are forbidden.
All matches last 5 minutes.
Unlike the official IBJJF rules, we compete without advantage points.
In the Gi and No-Gi divisions, matches are held according to the following format:
2 athletes: Best of 3
3 athletes: Revolution Round Robin Each athlete generally fights every other athlete once. In case of a tie, there may be final matches. More information can be found here: https://support.smoothcomp.com/article/332-revolution-round-robin
4 to 5 athletes: True Round Robin Each athlete fights every other athlete once.
6 to 11 athletes: Random Round Robin followed by a final
12 or more athletes: From 12 athletes: Random round robin with elimination fights, including at least a final and a fight for 3rd place. Depending on the division size, semi-finals and quarter-finals may also be added.
Depending on the number of participants and the organizational situation, we reserve the right to make necessary adjustments.
The participation fees are:
Early bird registration: 39 euros
Regular registration: 59 euros
Late registration: 69 euros
Registration for a second division costs an additional 10 euros.
With this additional fee, we want to reduce short-notice withdrawals from second divisions on tournament day. When participants register for a second division without being sure they will actually compete and then withdraw shortly before their match, this creates unnecessary walkover wins.
That is frustrating for the other participants and can affect the tournament flow as well as placements.
The additional fee is intended to make second-division registrations more deliberate and to avoid as many unnecessary walkover wins as possible.
Payment is made exclusively via PayPal through Smoothcomp.
Your registration for the tournament is only complete once you have paid on Smoothcomp. Unpaid registrations do not count as completed registrations.
Anyone who does not register or pay in time cannot participate in the tournament. Payment at the venue is not possible.
Deadlines for registration, cancellation and refunds can be found on the tournament page on Smoothcomp. Please pay particular attention to the Cancel/Refund policy.
We do not offer special treatment outside the deadlines stated there. Please do not contact us with requests for exceptions.
The tournament takes place at the sports hall in 91564 Neuendettelsau, Am Sportpark 40.
Please check the parking situation yourself in advance and plan enough time for arrival, parking, entry and weigh-in.
The venue opens at 08:30 for participants and spectators.
Two scales will be available for weigh-ins from 09:00.
We plan to run matches from 09:30 until around 18:30. This timeframe is based on our experience from previous tournaments and is not binding.
You can generally weigh in throughout the day. Please pay attention to your fight times.
If you are not ready when your match starts, we reserve the right to enter a walkover loss against you. Further details can be found in the FAQs.
If you cannot make your registered weight, you generally have no right to compete in that division and no right to a refund of the participation fee.
There is no weight tolerance.
As a gesture of goodwill, we will try to place you in another division if this is organizationally possible and does not disadvantage any other participant.
Showers are generally available in the sports hall.
