Cost

Early bird registration

· Runs until September 1st. Only $85 to register for one division. All other divisions will be at no additional cost to register. You can get up to 5 divisions for $85 with early bird pricing.

Normal registration

· Runs from September 2nd to October 2nd. Only $85 to register for one division. All other divisions will be an additional $15

Late registration

· Runs from Oct 2nd to Oct 7th. It will be $100 to register for one division. All other divisions will be an additional $20

NOTE: In order to see the additional division discounts you will need to register for one division. Once registered the prices of all other divisions will be reflected in the change.

Format -

Non Absolute Divisions

· If a competitor must forfeit some of his/her matches, due to injury, his/her opponent will be declared the winner. We expect competitors to complete all their matches as a respect to their opponents.

Teammates might end up being matched against one another. We put extra effort on such a situation not happening but depending on the number of competitors or teammates in a division, there may be no way to prevent it.

Double Elimination For Divisions With 6 Competitors or More

· Competitors will be placed in a double elimination bracket with 6 competitors or more

·The brackets will allow for a consolation bracket that leads to a 3rd place finish

Round Robin Style For Divisions With 5 Competitors or Less

· Round Robin placement winners are determined by the points accrued in the division. A submission is worth more than a decision, a decision is worth more than a ref decision and a ref decision is worth more than a walkover.

· Competitors from every division will be pooled with opponents within their own division for an opportunity of getting up to 4 matches.

· Matches won earn you individual points toward your round robin division: 13 points for a match won by Submission, 9 points for a match won by Points, and 5 points for a match won by Referee Decision or Disqualification. Total points will be added up to declare the placement if in a division of 5 or less competitors.

· In the case of tiebreakers, the following algorithm will be utilized in order: Head to Head, Most Wins By Sub, Most Wins By Points, Most Wins By Decision

Absolute Division

· PRIZE MONEY: Absolute Gi and No-Gi winners will receive the following prize money: White ($200 Men & Women), Blue/Purple ($400 Men & $300 Women), and Brown/Black ($600 Men & $300 Women Blue/Purple will be one division along with brown/black.

· Competitors must pre-register for absolute divisions. MUST BE 2 COMPETITORS SIGNED UP FOR ABSOLUTE IN ORDER FOR THERE TO BE PRIZE MONEY. In the event an Absolute division only has two competitors, the winner will be determined by a best-of-three match format. If in a division of 3 the setup will be a revolution round robin which will guarantee a winner in case of a tie. If in a 4+ person Absolute division it will be a double elimination bracket.

· Absolute divisions follow the rules of their respective belt (Blue/Purple follow rules of purple, brown/black follow rules of black belt). 

Take down tournament

· PRIZE MONEY: Winner of Take down tournament will receive $200

· Take down tournament will be a single elimination style format
Take down criteria will be forcing opponent to turtle position, putting them in side-control/mount or putting them in a bottom guard.

· Each take down is worth 2 points. The first opponent to score 6 points wins the match.

· There will be a 5 minute time limit on the take down rounds. If match ends in a tie the referee will decide the winner.

Rankings and Team Points

· Medals won can earn you individual and team ranking points: 100 points for a Gold, 80 points for a Silver, and 60 points for a Bronze.

· Matches won earn you team ranking points: 20 points for a match won by Submission, 12 points for a match won by Points, and 4 points for a match won by Referee Decision or Disqualification.

DIVISION MERGERS

 After the change deadline, competitors who do not have anyone in their division group may be merged with another division. All athletes who remain solo in their divisions once brackets are released means there wasn't any default merges available to them, and therefore there are no matches available for that competitor. They will receive a full coupon credit for entry to any future event of ours.  

WEIGH-INS

· You must check-in and weigh-in anytime up to at least 60 minutes before your scheduled division start time. We ask that you make sure to be present in the venue at least 60 minutes prior your division start time.

· There will be a 1.5-pound allowance.

· If an athlete does not make weight on his/her first attempt, he/she has until the end of the designated period to make weight. Abusive usage of our scales (every five minutes) will not be permitted.

· Athletes who fail to make weight during the designated period will be disqualified and will not be moved up to another weight division. Athletes who are disqualified will not be eligible for a refund. It is the athlete’s responsibility to make the weight class they signed up for or have changed to a higher weight class by that event’s change deadline.

· All competitors competing in Gi divisions weigh-in may weigh in WITHOUT their Gi on.

· An athlete who competes in both their Gi and No-Gi divisions only has to weigh-in once.

Prizes

· The three top-placed athletes in each division shall receive medals. The champion shall receive a gold medal and the runner-up shall receive a silver medal. A third-place fight will determine the bronze medal winner.

· Grand Prizes will be awarded at specific events throughout the year. Not all divisions in an event of ours are eligible to win a grand prize and athletes should visit the event’s page to know if their division is eligible or not for one, and the details to that prize becoming available for select divisions.

· When competing in a division where grand prizes are being given away by OC Classics, the athlete also has to be 18 years old or have a parent or guardian who is 18 years or older to receive it on their behalf.

· There must be at least 3 competitors signed up in a division that is granting a prize for that prize to be awarded to its division champion.

ALL ABSOLUTE DIVISIONS MUST HAVE 3 COMPETITORS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZE MONEY

COACH CHAIR and CROWD CONTROL

 We will have 1 chair on each side of every score table, 1 for each coach of the competitor on the mat. The only other people allowed within the barricades during the tournament are the competitors on the mat having their match and the competitors on deck.

REFUND POLICY

We issue refunds for an event registration until the early bird date. From the early bird date to the change deadline, only full coupon credits will be issued for future events. After change deadline, there will be no refunds or future credits issued. Refunds and Credits can be obtained by logging into your account and cancelling your event registration. Competitors who do not have a bracket or their opponent no shows day of event will receive a full coupon credit. No show credit only applies if you have no matches for the day.
