Shobu Challenge 2026
🥋 Welcome to the 2026 WKKC Inaugural Shobu Challenge
This is a pre-registration only event. No entries will be accepted on the day.
📅 Event Date:
Sunday 7th June 2026 📍North Notts Arena, Worksop
🎟 Spectator Info:
- £15 per person – cash only on the day (No pre-sale available)
📌 Important Registration Details:
- Pre-registration is mandatory.
- Registration will automatically close when the event reaches capacity – WKKC events have sold out 3 years in a row, so don’t delay!
- Once registered, no refunds will be issued for any reason (including inability to attend or failure to make weight).
- No weight allowance is permitted. If you fail to make weight, you will be disqualified and no division changes will be made.
- You may log back in and edit your registration until 31st May. No changes can be made after this date Admin team cannot make edits on your behalf
👤 Division Info:
- Divisions are based on your age as of 1st January 2026 If you’ve turned 18 since 1st Jan, you must compete in the 18+ categories
- You may only enter your own age group
🆕 What abilities can register?
- 🥋 Sport Karate / Points fighting will have age & weight specific sections for both Novice/Intermediate & Advanced competitors.
- 👬TEAM events are open to all abilities - So grab members from your club and represent!
❓ What is a novice / Intermediate competitor?
• In your 18 months of competing
• No Black Belts
• No World Champions (any organisation)
❓How does the 3 person Team event work?
• All 3 competitors must be in the same age bracket
• All 3 competitors must be from the same team/club
• Any ability level can compete
• Scoring is cumulative points across the team matches
❓How does the 1 Male & 1 Female Team event work?
• Both competitors must be in the same age bracket
• Both competitors must be from the same team/club
• Any ability level can compete
• Scoring is cumulative points
