POSSIBLE CHANGE OF DIVISION
Whitsunday Kyokushin reserves the right to adjust registrations where appropriate.
After the Last Day to Check, Change & Withdraw, competitors who
do not have anyone in their division group may be merged with another
division. With the exception of the open division, in the interest
of safety, the weight of each competitor is considered. Should a
competitor’s weight exceed 5 kg of the maximum weight in that age
division and there is no weight matched competitor, then that competitor
may not compete in the Tournament.
I
realize that I may be merged into another weight or age, (kids on rare
occasions may be moved up a belt category) to ensure that I have a
match, and that this will be done to the next closest division available. However, any kumite competitor that is unable
to be merged is eligible to receive a 100%
refund.
EXEMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY
By registering for this event the competitor and/or their guardian (if under 18 yrs) do hereby voluntarily submit their application in the specified Karate Tournament, and do hereby assume full responsibility for all or any damages, or bodily injury, and or losses of any kind that that they may sustain or incur, if any, whilst participating in or attending this tournament. The competitor and/or their guardian hereby also indemnifies Kyokushin, the promoters, officials, instructors, participants and sponsors of the said Karate Tournament, individually or otherwise against all and any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by the competitors involvement in the competition. I fully understand that any medical treatment given to me will be of a first aid nature only.
Competitors should be prepared for their bout at least 30 minutes beforehand. The day will run to a fast, dynamic schedule and it is all competitors responsibility to ensure they are ready to compete when called. Competitors should remain inside the competition area, and ensure they are able to hear their name when called to compete. Leaving the area, wearing headphones or similar devices and/or not responding when called may result in disqualification.
