2026 Caribbean International Championship

All competitors are expected to understand and respect the tournament rules. Please also be familiar with our medal rank tie-breaker rules below.

SCHEDULE- Please be there at least 30 minutes early for your fight.

We will run the divisions in order of ascending age whenever possible.

9:00 AM – Official start of Check-in for all Junior competitors

9:45 AM- Rules Meeting for all Kids divisions and National Anthem

10:00 AM- Start of all Kids' and Juveniles' Gi and No-Gi BJJ divisions

11:00 PM-  Official start of Check-in for all adult competitors

12:00 PM- Start of all Adult and Masters Gi and No-Gi BJJ divisions

5:00 PM- End of event

SPECTATOR ENTRANCE- Entrance is free and we welcome anyone to come and watch.

DISCLAIMER- Always make sure to get travel insurance or refundable flight tickets because the organizer is not responsible for any travel or accommodation cost in the event of the cancellation or change of date of the tournament due to unforeseen circumstances.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL DIVISIONS

The Caribbean BJJ Association respects the principles of empathy and equality as part of our Martial Arts, and this tournament will not discriminate based on appearance, gender, religion, or disability, nor will we allow any form of violence or discrimination.

Always show respect and shake hands with your opponent before and after each fight.

We expect all competitors to act in a sportsmanlike fashion at all times. If you lock in a submission do not apply it instantly trying to force a tap but look at the referee to make sure (s)he recognizes the submission and give her/him a chance to step in to break off the fight even if your opponent does not tap.

 All division weight-in without a uniform for simplicity. We reserve the right to merge divisions in order to give everyone the best experience and maximum of matches. Because of this, you should not try to cut weight only to find yourself exhausted in the next higher division.

EXPERIENCE LEVELS

Novice– Any competitor with less than six months of experience (white belts only) is considered a Novice

Intermediate– Any competitor with less than two years of experience (white belts only) should be in these divisions

Advanced– Any competitor with less than four years of experience (or any colored belt or any other Martial Arts brown belt or higher) is in the Advanced divisions

Expert- Any competitor with more than four years of experience (or any colored belt or any other Martial Arts brown belt or higher) is in the Expert divisions
