Beach SAMBO Rules differ significantly from those of sport or combat SAMBO. Each match lasts 3 minutes or until one competitor scores, creating a significantly faster pace compared to traditional matches and making the fight more dynamic and exciting.
How is BEACH SAMBO different from Sport SAMBO?
- Beach SAMBO is fought on sand, but only in a standing position—no wrestling on the ground.
- Victory is awarded after a throw when the opponent, as a result of the actions, lands on the sand with any part of their body except the legs.
- A throw is considered a technical action in which the athlete causes the opponent to lose balance within the competition area and fall on any part of their body except the legs.
- A counter-throw is an active response by the attacked athlete, where they intercept the initiative, stop the opponent's attack, or redirect the opponent’s fall.
- A bad throw is one where the attacker falls into a ground position, and it is not the result of active opposition from the opponent.
- An attacking athlete may execute a drop throw.
