AGE CATEGORIES
Wrestlers (or an adult on their behalf where the wrestler is < 18 yrs old) must register online.
A Wrestling Australia member ID must be added at the point of registration.
The following age/weight brackets will be conducted at the competition:
•Youth male Under 10 (35kg)
• Youth male Under 13 (41 kg)
• Youth male Under 13(48 kg)
Youth male U13 (51kg)
Youth male U17 (55 kg)
Youth male U17 (57kg)
Youth male U17(65KG)
Youth male U18 (80KG)
Male and Female Adults Freestyle (18 years and older)
SUPLEX/High Amplitude Throws POLICY
Athletes are not permitted to perform a suplex or a High Amplitude Throw.
AGE SUBMISSION
Age submissions are to be based on the Year of Birth (i.e., turning the denoted age in this calendar year), and not the age at the time of the competition.
Applications to compete in a higher age class must be submitted to Mikhaila.howse@gmail.com prior to the registration deadline.
Exhibition Matches
Exhibition matches will be run on the day. All Exhibition Matches must be pre-arranged. Contact Mikhaila.howse@gmail.com to arrange exhibition matches.
WEIGHT CATEGORIES
Wrestlers must weigh in exactly on or under their nominated category weight. No weight tolerance is allowed.
• No weight changes are permitted after the registration deadline.
WRESTLING AUSTRALIA/STATE MEMBERSHIP
All competitors must be a current member of Wrestling Australia and a State Association at the time of the event. All competitors must have either a Senior or Junior National Level membership class.

UPGRADING MEMBERSHIP
Current members can upgrade their membership class to a Senior or Junior National Level Membership class by logging into their Rev Sport account and select the upgrade option.

SCHEDULE
Weight in for all categories: 9.00am
Competitions starts: 9.30am
IDENTIFICATION
All participants are required to bring proof of age to the event to be presented at weigh in.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Wrestlers may wear, other than the standard wrestling singlet, a two-piece outfit as follows:
Tops of close-fitting elastic material that extends to the waist. Allowable items of clothing include rashguards, grappling shorts and bike shorts.
Short-sleeved or sleeveless shirt, predominantly in red or blue colour. A wrestler must bring one of each colour.
The shirt or top must be tight fitting.
For females, the shirt must completely cover the breasts at all times.
If a head covering is worn it should be firm fitting with no metal fixings.
Clothing may not have metal components, zips or buttons.
Open pockets are not permitted.
Drawstrings must be concealed at all times
Clothing must not have wording or design that is offensive or inappropriate.
Underwear must not contain hard plastic or metal components.
All wrestlers must wear a singlet or the alternative uniform option for weigh in.
COMPETITION RULES and Conditions of Entry:
- All wrestlers are only eligible to compete if they are a member of a Constituent Association, irrespective of whether their relevant Wrestling Club is a member of a Constituent Association of Wrestling Australia Ltd
- <b>All competitors are required to be a financial member of their State Association AND Wrestling Australia Ltd.</b>
- All competitors are responsible for their own medical and physical fitness to wrestle and understand that the nature of the sport of wrestling involves some physical risks that can result in serious injury or death. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure they are free of skin lesions or allergies and are fit to compete.
- All competitors are encouraged to have their own private health insurance in case of an injury.
- Competition will be conducted in accordance with UWW Rules; draw will use a modified pairing system.
- All competitors must make weight within these categories.
- No weight changes are permitted after the registration deadline.
- All competitors must wear a wrestling singlet or the alternative uniform option for weigh in.
- Proof of Age, satisfactory to Wrestling Australia Ltd., is required for all competitors. (Copy of Original Birth Certificate or Passport is required with entry form).
- Special consideration will be given for entries wishing to compete in a higher age categories.
The organisers will have the sole discretionary decision.

- I acknowledge that I am bound by these policies, and it is my responsibility to be familiar with these policies;

- All coaches must abide by the WAL Code of Conduct.
- I have read and understood the “Competition Rules and Conditions of Entry” and confirm that in consideration of acceptance, by Wrestling Australia, of this my application to enter this event, I intend to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and any such persons, to waive and release the organizers, the committee of Wrestling Australia, their agents, members and any bodies or individuals having any association with this championship from any and all claims or rights to damages for injuries or losses suffered by me directly or indirectly in training for, traveling to or from, competing in or attending these Championship.
- Wrestling Australia needs to promote itself to the community at large, just like any other organization. I thereby authorise Wrestling Australia, and any person authorised by them, to reproduce, publish, broadcast or do any of the acts comprised in the copyright subsisting in: Photographic picture, Videotapes (with or without sound), Production stills and Voice recording.
