In line with the movement objective, the 2025 Pesta Sukan Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo Championships seeks to provide a platform for grappling enthusiasts of all experience levels and ages to enhance camaraderie, share knowledge, and raise standards, as part of our National Day celebrations.

Eligibility
a. Participants MUST be Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents, or Non-Citizen Residents on valid passes (MOM / MOE passes). Age divisions shall be based on YEAR of BIRTH.
b. Participants may register in multiple events in their weight category and age division only, and must provide their coach information for verification.
c. All individual divisions shall be inclusive, and differently abled participants with prior training, may register in their respective age groups.
d. Participants 17 years and younger (born in or after 2008) are required to have their Parent/Guardian complete (using Singpass) the indemnity form and show email proof (automatically sent to your email inbox) to the Registration counter on event day.
e. Participants 18 years and older (born in or after 2007) must complete (using Singpass) the indemnity form and show email proof (automatically sent to your email inbox) to the Registration counter on event day.
f. If you are taking part in 2 styles (Beach Wrestling + Beach Sambo) - you will need to complete 2 indemnity forms.

Failure to provide Email proof (completion of Indemnity form(s)) to the Registration staff on event day may result in denial of participation.
REGISTRATION DATES AND FEES
Participants may register in multiple disciplines (Beach Sambo / Beach Wrestling / Team) ONLY in their respective age division and weight category (E.g., You CANNOT register for Beach Sambo 57kg and 65kg.)
The closing date for entries shall be 2359H Monday 22nd July 2024. Incomplete and/or late entries will not be accepted,
The registration fee shall be:
a. $5.00 per category for differently abled participants
b. $10.00 per category (including team event) for children and youth (17 years and younger)
c. $15 per category (including team event) for the adult divisions
Divisions and categories contested
The following divisions and categories will be contested:
a. Children 4 - 6 years: 18kg, 21kg, 24kg, 28kg, 33kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
b. Children 7 - 10 years: 27kg, 30kg, 34kg, 38kg, 42kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
c. Children 10 - 13 years (Differently Abled): 38kg, 42kg, 46kg, 50kg, 54kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
d. Children 11 - 13 years (Boys): 38kg, 42kg, 46kg, 50kg, 54kg, 59kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
e. Children 11 - 13 years (Girls): 34kg, 38kg, 42kg, 46kg, 50kg, 55kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
f. Youth 14 - 17 years (Boys): 50kg, 54kg, 59kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
g. Youth 14 - 17 years (Girls): 40kg, 43kg, 47kg, 51kg, 55kg, 59kg (Beach Wrestling & Beach Sambo)
h. Adult 18 years and older (Men): 57kg, 65kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 86kg, 92kg, 125kg (Beach Wrestling AND Beach Sambo)
i. Adult 18 years and older (Women): 50kg, 55kg, 59kg, 62kg, 65kg, 68kg, 76kg, 125kg (Beach Wrestling AND Beach Sambo)
j. Masters (Men and Women): 46 to 55 Years old / 56 to 65 Years old / 66 Years old and above (Refer to Divisions AND Categories list at the top of this page)
k. Mixed team event* (2 Male & 1 Female): 10, 13, 17 years and adult division (4 divisions)

Public Activities and Tryouts
As part of the national effort to promote active lifestyle, a number of activities will be held for the general public, comprising introductory workshops, and discipline related tryouts.
In addition to the general public, WFS will seek partnership with local and international educational institutions, and social service organisations to participate in these activities.
Weigh-Ins
Timings will be published after registration period.
Official weigh-in (30 minutes) shall be conducted at least 1 hour prior to commencement of each session.
No allowance will be given. Participants who fail to make weight shall be disqualified (NO REFUND).
Rules and Regulations
The current rules and regulations of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) and United World Wrestling (UWW) shall be enforced with the following addendums / exceptions:
Competition attire
Beach Wrestling => Strictly no zippers/hard objects on the clothing!
Beach Wrestling => ALL competitors are allowed to wear Board shorts or short tights (must be above the knee)
Beach Wrestling => For Male competitors, short sleeved rashguards are OPTIONAL.
Beach Wrestling => Female competitors are allowed to wear either a sports bra (no under wires) or a Short sleeved Rashguard.
Beach Wrestling => Please bring along 2 sets of Wrestling attire:
1 set with LIGHT colors (E.g., White, Light Yellow, Light Blue, Light Pink etc.)
1 set with DARK colors (E.g., Black, Dark Blue, Dark Red, Dark Brown etc.)
Beach Sambo => WHITE Beach Sambo jacket with Belt (Red or Blue belt), Beach Sambo Shorts (Red AND Blue)
Beach Sambo => Any WHITE grappling Gi (sleeves stop AT the wrist bone) with Belt (Red or Blue), and short tights (Red AND BLUE - must be above the knee) accepted.
Beach Sambo => Only Female competitors (Sambo) are allowed to wear an INNER swimsuit/plain White T-shirt or plain White Rashguard.
Beach Sambo => Please bring along 2 sets of short tights (if you do not have both RED and BLUE):
1 set with LIGHT colors (E.g., White, Light Yellow, Light Blue, Light Pink etc.)
1 set with DARK colors (E.g., Black, Dark Blue, Dark Red, Dark Brown etc.)
General => Head covers for women permitted (for religious purpose only).
General => Wrestling or Sambo shoes/any footwear is strictly NOT allowed.
There will be no exemptions!
c. Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches in their weight class and division. Categories with less than 3 participants may be cancelled, the participants will be offered an opportunity to compete in the next higher weight category, or opt for a refund.
d. Competitors are required to provide proof of identity on their appointed competition day.
Competition rulesets
All participants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the rules to avoid any forfeits/disqualifications during their matches.
