Smoothcomp's checkout only charges the standard $50 CAD entry fee, so please add $10 CAD per extra division yourself (e.g., 1 extra division = $60 CAD, 2 extra = $70 CAD) and PayPal or e-transfer the difference to alexpecorella@hotmail.com, noting it's for an extra division(s)include your name and which divisions you're entering.

Weigh-ins

From 7:00am Thursday, November 5th until 9:00pm Friday, November 6th, please send a single, uncut video of yourself stepping onto a scale to @roninsumoclub on Instagram Starting with the reading clearly visible at 0, and then showing the weight reading. End with a clear, recognizable shot of your face.

Any weigh-ins after that deadline can be done in person on-site at the CJCC.

Waivers

All competitors must sign the Sumo Canada-approved Liability Waiver and confirm they are in good physical condition and free from any injury or illness that could increase the risk of harm.

Second Waiver for Non-Canadian Competitors

In addition to the standard liability waiver, competitors who are not residents of Canada will be asked to sign a second form: a Governing Law and Jurisdiction Agreement, provided through our Medical Officer's malpractice association. In plain terms, this form confirms that any legal action related to medical care provided by our Medical Officer at this event would be handled in Ontario, under Ontario law.

Signing is not mandatory, and no one will ever be refused emergency care for declining to sign. Our Medical Officer will ask each non-Canadian competitor to sign it, and will note if a competitor declines or is unable to.

Open Mat

We'll be holding an open mat in connection with the tournament — come learn sumo from our coaches and competitors. [Confirm: before or after the tournament, date/time]

Medical & Safety

A medical officer, first aid, and an AED will be on site for the full event.

Payment

Registration is paid by PayPal at checkout. If PayPal isn't working for you, you can instead e-transfer your entry fee to alexpecorella@hotmail.com include your full name and weight division in the message, and we'll confirm your registration once it's received.
