Really good training and an amazing group of people. Huge and clean mats with enough space for rolls and drills. I would recommend it for whoever is looking to move their body from beginners to advanced ones.

Great spot for BJJ, just had a recent remodel and it looks great! Change in ownership and I can say they definitely leveled up. I train 3 times a week and mats are always clean and staff and people that train are very friendly. Great space to make new friends and learn self defense. I highly recommend.

World class instruction with a wide variety of class times make it easily accessible for anyone who wants to train. Also being within the Alliance system allows you to train at other Alliances which also provide world class training. The owner, instructors, and members here though are what make this the place to be- they are like family

If it’s going to be your first time getting into jiu jitsu I highly suggest going to Alliance Jiu Jitsu Academy Inland Empire. Professor Mel is very welcoming and I love how she explains on how to do different techniques even though I don’t understand it yet haha! My very first day I was anxious to get on the mat I didn’t have any idea what I was doing going up against higher stripes and belts, but all the practitioners were helping and pushing me while we were rolling. I’m glad to be apart of Alliance Jiu Jitsu Academy Inland Empire.

Alliance Jiu Jitsu | Inland Empire is amazing 👏🏼 From the owners down to the coaches and staff. A very huge thing for myself is that we have two very awesome women who teach here Professor Mel and the kids Coach Laura who I feel are a very positive influence on my little girls showing them that even women can be strong and influential in a male dominate sport. The next big thing for me is the atmosphere here, from the moment we joined everyone is welcoming and so very knowledgeable with helping my kids, my husband and I reaching our goals in Jiu Jitsu. My girls were being bullied when we placed them here and to say that they have completely thrived and started to be more confident in themselves is an understatement. My girls are learning to communicate better, speak up for themselves and others while learning self defense techniques they can use throughout life. I am so thankful for all the knowledge and skills they have gained. My husband and I joined shortly after them and we have also loved it. This gym is for the community, I promise you won't regret it when you join. Come in and try a 2 week trial class and see for yourself. 😊

This is an updated review. Since the new ownership. I am very pleased at the direction that this gym has taken with background checks and instruction/ instructors. Andrew is amazing and so is all the staff there. I do feel like the people of this gym are safe and protected in their hands. Mel and Laura are amazing and very talented instructors and honestly the city of Redlands is blessed to have them there teaching. I have high hopes for the direction of this academy under the new management and wish you guys all the best!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽

My daughter and I have been training here for over a year now, and Alliance has become a second home. Alliance Inland Empire has an awesome team that guides their students along their own journey of jiu jitsu. Alliance Inland Empire is very much family friendly and a great place to train and learn jiu jitsu. There are many classes to choose from that work for many different schedules. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in or already training in Jiu Jitsu.

*1 year review* My son (now 9 yrs old) started with Alliance in Redlands a year ago and I can say it has been an awesome experience for us both. The level of engagement from the entire coaching staff is top notch! Before joining Alliance, I mapped out the area and visited some of the best reviewed kids programs. I ended up watching classes and interviewing coaches at eight different local martial arts studios in disciplines including karate, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and taekwondo. We found something special at Alliance in Redlands! Here you can count on continuity of coaching with a real partnership mentality. Professor Sunny has done a great job in bringing together a supportive coaching team, environment, and a sense of community. I also can't say enough good things about the children's director, coach Cheech! Professor Sunny and coach Cheech are absolutely dedicated!! If you (or your child) just want to show up and learn basic ground defense, they will support that. If you want to become a high level competitor...they will definitely support that too! We have now been to multiple competitions (both to spectate and participate) and the coaches always go above and beyond to show up at offsite weekend events to guide students through it all. Their competition support is incredible! The atmosphere with the parents is positive and inclusive, bringing together all sorts of backgrounds and demographics. The mix between boys and girls is usually very close to 50/50 and the kids rarely seem to care one way or another. It is very rare to see any attitude issues since the Alliance mantra is to put safety first, stay humble, and to work things out with a baseline level of respect for individuals. As a new student, you get to participate in warm-ups and technique training, then you must watch the final randori ("sparing" or "rolling") portion of the class. After 3-4 weeks, these students are promoted with their first white stripe and allowed to participate in randori. Some schools oddly don't do much randori or adversely let students participate from the first day. Both of these methods are flawed in that they either miss a key element of training or put other students at risk. Believe it or not, participating in warm-ups and techniques and then sitting and watching the randori on the sidelines for a few weeks helps students understand the culture as well as how partners are supposed to respect and protect each other. Alliance doesn't just believe in warm-ups and technique training...every day students are stress tested with each other. This daily randori is what instills genuine confidence, nothing fake or fabricated here. These kids come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities...so know that any type of kid can thrive. As an involved parent it's really neat to watch these kids develop month after month to achieve a level of confidence they never knew existed.

This place is awesome!! Starting my BJJ journey here with Gracie Humaita Jiu Jitsu Redlands has been the best decision I have ever made. Family environment vibes with a healthy competitive spirit. Besides the physical strength, this gym has also given me mental strength. High level and knowledgeable instructors. A definite place to check out if you are interested in jiu-jitsu.

My daughter started going to Alliance in October 2023. She is a serious athlete with ten years of gym experience. Throughout this journey up to date she has encountered some despicable behaviors from some. She was introduced to Alliance and the owner seemed great. But when I met him I felt he was not genuine, Something off. He seemed truly happy for my daughter to be part of the team. He told me “I’m so happy to have her, she’s a talented athlete. I’m going to take her under my wing and mentor her and give her a gym” he quickly started showering her with gifts, having her attend meetings and giving up all her time for free and promising her coaching class opportunities which he gradually started to retract on. When she refused to do things he would throw the gifts in her face. I could see my daughter stressed out. She was looking very stressed out and unhappy and it was from her coach. I could go on and on but I want to say even though I thought I shouldn’t be so involved because my daughter is grown we still always need to be on the look out. I feel the owners intentions are not pure in my opinion. Always watch, listen and speak out.
