My son has trained with the pros at Renzo Gracie Lake Houston since 2022. His growth as a person and a juijitsu competitor has been tremendous. This gym offers a wide variety of training and i’m sure they can meet the needs of just about anyone. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an activity for their kids to drop in a try a class.

My child loves it here! Great accommodations, reasonable training schedule, great staff, and awesome training sessions.
I’m from Miami Florida training with Gracie Barra Doral, but came on a visit at Texas. And I was welcome by the wonderful family of Renzo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Lake Houston Texas. If you are visiting or looking for a Jiu jitsu Academy to join while you are in Houston Lake Texas. I recommend Renzo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Lake Houston Texas. They made sure to communicate with us during the entire process and answered any questions m, they had an extremely friendly staff that help us during signing our waiver form by the name of Lance.
They gave us (Ronald and Me)peace of mind during our trial and visit . Thank you Professor Lester Batres the teaching was great 👍

If dedication and experience are what you’re looking for you found it! My family has been trining with Mike C. since we started many many years ago. He has coached my boys since they were babies who are now grown men and still train together to this day. We would 100% recommend Renzo Gracie Lake Houston simply on the dedication of the amazing coaches alone.

I've trained at several gyms, and this is a great place to learn BJJ/Kickboxing. The professors are very knowledgeable and will push you. I highly recommend this location.
I had a great night of training here. The instructors were very welcoming and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, with plenty of parking. Thanks again for the instruction, rolls and hospitality!

I dropped in for an open mat and everyone was super nice. I talked to Tyler (owner(?) general manager(?)) and he was very relaxed and professional. The facility was clean and there was a ton of mat space. I’ll definitely be dropping in the next time I’m in Houston.

I have a little experience with jiujitsu (8 months), and had my first session at renzo today. I've had privates there before for boxing and jiujitsu, but his is my first time staying for class. This gym is everything you can expect, from the respect among peers to coaching instruction. It is a lot of fun and will continue to train here. One thing I will note, if you come in.. be prepared to put in work! Highly recommend if you want to up your jiujitsu game. I cant thank the coach at renzo gracie enough for pushing me to try something new over a year and a half ago.

Heartfelt thanks. We went to Jujitsu World League this weekend and we’re not aware of the coaching rules. My son, who is 6, was going to have to compete without a coach and as I tried to coach from the stands on of your professors heard me, asked if he had a coach and jumped right in to help him through his matches. Thanks again. This is what I love about jujitsu and the jujitsu community. Y’all made his experience better than it would have been and helped him win gold.

We moved to Renzo Gracie from a different gym and it was the best decision. My son’s jiu-jitsu skills have improved as well as his behavior. All of his teachers have noticed a difference in him. He is winning on and off the mat thanks to RGLH.

Awesome gym, classes open afternoons and evenings, perfect for training everyday and even twice a day. All talented and knowledgeable coaches, very open and willing to help those new to BJJ. Gym always clean and training partners know how to practice safely and competitively, I’ve seen everyone who’s come here progress within weeks. Team is my family now. So far so good....
Only been coming for a week, but impressed enough, this early to write a review.
My kiddo is only 4 and male. He enjoys the wrestling nature of Jiu Jitsu, so if your child is like mine and trying to wrestle all the time this is a good outlet for that energy. They're teaching the kiddos real techniques each class and allowing them to practice on each other. Then for the last 5- 10 min they allow the kids to spar and/ or play a game.
Class is only 30 min for the 4-6 yr Olds, but that's plenty time because all they wanna do is run around and play anyways.
Pricing is decent, less than 250 per month for 3 days a week.

I recently started training here a month ago and it's just positive all around. As soon as you step in and speak to everyone you know you are at the right place. They treat you with respect no matter how inexperienced or difficult you are to train. They will make you forget that you are a newbie and you will realize that you are a student of martial arts. Feels great to have this place to train at. There aren't enough stars to give them.

A must try gym for anyone interested in jiu-jitsu. Professors are highly knowledgeable with their techniques. There is an emphasis on taking care of one another. Training partners become teammates, who aim to make each other better. Mats are cleaned daily and kept in great condition. All of these reasons create the optimal environment to learn jiu-jitsu.

My son and young sister in law both train Jiu Jitsu at Renzo Gracie Lake Houston. They have great programs for beginners and pros. It is top notch with friendly, patient, and educated instructors. We are so happy we found this gym and started our jiu jitsu journey here.

I originally started coming here as a way to get in shape. I soon realized that Jiu Jitsu was both a physical and mental workout. Something that sharpened the mind and body. Professor Mike and the other professors do a great job of making you feeling welcome and showing you how Jiu Jitsu can change your life. I started 5 months ago and I do not plan on ever stopping. I can honestly say that coming to Renzo Gracie Lake Houston and starting Jiu Jitsu is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

I've been going to Renzo Gracie for about 6 months now and it is probably one of the best decision I have made. Every penny is worth it and the quality of the training is hard to compare to other schools I have been to. It is also worth mentioning the friendly instructors and welcoming environment.

I've been taking my son here since they opened in Aug 2019. I love it and so does he. It's a very good family-oriented atmosphere here. I was looking for an alternative outlet for him apart from what I see as the go-to football or soccer routine. The classes were flexible when we first started and are even better now. I can take him in the afternoon after he gets off school for an hour class essentially any day during the week. The classes are portioned by age so he's not facing others so much bigger and more experienced than him that it will diminish his confidence. The belt progression system is well managed and advancements are presented in front of all the other kids and parents for photos and congratulations. I appreciate the non-aggressive approach of Jiu-Jitsu vs. other martial arts...not to say that others promote violence, but I believe overall Jiu Jitsu is more practical and easier to comprehend than complicated katas. My daughter takes Karate in middle school and I much prefer the Jiu-Jitsu style to what she's learning. I'm glad Gracie founded a school in Summerwood.

World class training facility taught by well experienced and knowledgeable professors- Ricardo Evangelista, Mike Calimbas, Lester Batres, Mick Maynard, Belinda Serrano, and several black belts that drop in to share their knowledge. The lineage of each professor comes from deep roots of pure grit and respect. Each professor have been in this industry for a long time...—you won’t have to worry about a “fake” Black belt, TRUST me on that. If you want to learn and train Basic Fundamental to Competitive Training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and May Thai/Kickboxing this is the place to consider. Many have built confidence and shed a lot of weight here. As for me, it feels good to be back on the mats with a great group. I hope this review will shed some light to start your journey with Renzo Gracie Lake Houston.

I can’t say enough about this place. It’s our second home and everyone feels like family. My kids enjoy the kids classes and I have learned a lot in the adult classes. I have never tried any time of martial arts and this was way out of my comfort zone but I have never regretted my decision to join and love going. It’s the highlight of my day.

They take heart in serving the community and will continue with future events. Iron Pigs Jiu-jitsu and Renzo Gracie educated parents and youth by reviewing common scenarios starting with what to say, defuse the fight and if need be how to defend or submit the aggressor in an attack.
