There are grappling gyms and then there is Bluestarr Grappling. A family business owned and operated by head instructor Sadiq Daniels. Here we teach more than grappling and ground arts, our lessons are also for life.

This place has been a godsend for my family. My husband and all 4 of my kids have been students (currently 3 now!) almost since the beginning. This is an amazing place for kids to come and learn grappling, Jiu Jitsu and fitness- but not only that, life lessons as well. My kids leave learning how to defend themselves but also carry themselves as decent human beings. Coach Sadiq loves his students and makes it known we are his family. He would give the shirt off his back for you and loves his Jiu Jitsu family deeply and is a fierce protector of them. He’s very technical and your kids (and significant others, adult friends). will leave here with solid tools in their toolbox. You will be welcomed as family here and taught well ❤️

Attention parents who are hesitant in placing their kids in Judo classes, hopefully this puts your nerves at ease. Sadiq is AMAZING. He takes his classes very seriously but from the moment you walk in the door it’s all family oriented vibes. The coach and his wife, the students, and other parents all make you so welcome, the students take initiative to support your new student and help train, the parents are also very supportive. I one thousand percent recommend BlueStarr Grappling, it is all good vibes, serious work, great teaching and training techniques that WORK. I have had days where I needed to bring my 6 month old baby and while I feel overwhelmed sometimes with her behavior Sadiq makes me feel better about it being okay and he has his class under control. I absolutely love being there, my husband loves being there as a student, i cannot stress enough that it’s the place to be.

Coach Sadiq is the best hands down! I was trying to find something for my boys to do, 10 and 4, and was having a hard time doing so. No one wanted to take my 4 year old and my 10 year old didn’t match with anyone else. He was gentle and timid. His personality didn’t fit with a lot of other coaches. Coach Sadiq took both of them and helped develop their character, instilling discipline in my 4 year old and boosting my 10 year old’s confidence. He transforms to fit what each child needs. Both him and his wife, coach Dana, are always trying to help in anyway they can. It would be beneficial to both you and your children to try out this school. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely LOVE this place and the people! Walked in the first day and felt at home. Sadiq welcomed us and introduced us to everyone. Then we met everyone there and were treated very well! It has the “Rocky style” gym feel! Everyone is friendly and there to help everyone get better even my boys love it and look forward to going! It’s like one big family ! This was a huge deal for me because I wanted to join the gym where I could spend time with my kids and have them grow alongside me this is a perfect environment for kids and adults and has been an amazing Bonnie experience and the kids love Sadiq!I do to! Great great guy!!! Whether you are just starting out with zero experience or have been rolling for a few years I definitely recommend Blue Star! You will not be disappointed! I've been involved with Jiu-Jitsu or Grappling for a very long time. A regret of mine is not meeting my Professor at a young age. In the Jiu-Jitsu scene you'll usually run into political shenanigans. Professor Sadiq Walt Daniels welcomed me with open arms and didn't question or mock my past training. Be ready to train. Leave your ego at home.

The ENTIRE STAFF is caring, educational, knowledgable, helpful, and down right treats you like family. I've been taking my 5 year old son, and 7 year old daughter to Blue Star for a year now and I can't imagine going to another studio. There is ZERO intimidation coming here. Sadiq is an amazing human and puts all his students needs above his own, he also takes every opportunity to give the one on one instruction to the fullest. He is a man that does not cut corners and makes the most of every class! We will for sure NOT BE LEAVING Blue Star Grappling. We love it here!

Best grappling gym I’ve ever been to love the atmosphere. The coach is truly amazing man and there’s a lot of good genuine people felt very welcomed and I love it. I definitely recommend it to anyone getting into jujitsu.

This is a place for elite coaching. I’ve been training at this gym since it opened and I can tell you that the instructors and the members of this team train at a very high level. The owners and Head Instructor of the academy are very kind and loving people. It’s a great family environment and the kids program is excellent.

If you have any doubts about the validity of jiujitsu or what it can do for you or your child, come watch. It is literally the greatest gift I could have ever given my son. We found Bluestarr as something to get my youngest son into extracurricular activities. My daughter decided to also give it a try and has found a love for something I would have never thought to get her into. Fast forward and we now have gained an amazing extended family. Coaches and teammates who encourage one another. Amazing role models who care about their students on and off the mats. My children both look forward to attending class and have gained lessons and perspectives I may have not provided on my own. An amazing business would recommend 100%

Not only is this place known for their pride and professionalism in the way they take care of their students but the provide the very core values allot of these TV shows and media out deriving your kids of. Since going there i've been inspired myself just watching these kids go out there and give it their all respectfully whole heartedly. I'm thankful for a school like this. They don't sugar coat anything, it's real school preparing you for life not the reel you're kids in with some fake techniques and such up your money. You can see money is Not waisted on a fancy state of the art franchise style put together company. They about putting in work where it matters most. All about results here. Lifetime members here. All my family will come through here!

Bluestarr is an amazing gem. The instructors are all professional, amazing at what they do, and truly care about your progression. Coach Sadiq is amazing can't say enough good things about him. It can be a little intimidating starting something like this, but the family atmosphere here will set you at ease. Regardless of if you are trying to compete, or if you are just trying to have a nice chill time and learn some fun moves I highly recommend checking this place out!

It can be intimidating to walk into a place like this with little experience but the coaches and other students make sure you feel comfortable from day 1, while ensuring you are challenged appropriately. It's a true family environment where everyone from young kids to seasoned adults can grow and develop new skills while getting into great physical shape.

Blue star grappling has been at changing Grace in my life. My two oldest daughters and I have been going here for approximately four years. Professor Sadiq has so much to offer, in jiu-jitsu and life. All the coaches and team members are wonderful and humble. This is our second home. Would definitely recommend.

First time taking Ju-Jitsu classes, and let me say for anyone who works out and is in good shape, this was a huge ego check for myself. This team was working me my first day. All in all, Great instructor(s). Sadiq knows what he is doing, and if you don’t want to listen to a comment on reviews, just look at the competitions the team attends. There work, effort, technique, skill, and training shows. Anyone can write a good review. Just go and check it out. Sadiq is very understanding, and will work with you if this is something you’ve wanted to try but are hesitate. This is well worth your money, especially if you want to be able to defend yourself.

I've spent 6 years training at Bluestarr and have trusted my daughter to Sadiq's capable hands. I value the quality instruction and time the instructors have spent making the sport fun and interesting for my child. This is not only an academy for "sport jits" but spends equal time training no-gi as well. A well rounded curriculum equals very satisfied customers.

My 3 girls have been in jiu jitsu with coach Sadiq for almost a year and I couldn't ask for more. Not only is this gym family oriented but each coach makes sure to help out all kids and spend equal time with them. I feel jiu jitsu has done more than teach my girls self defense, it has given them confidence. If you want a positive and non bully experience this is your gym.

Upon entering the building I was greeted with hostility. Any person claiming to be a teacher or lifestyle influencer from this place needs to be evaluated. Truly not a place I would take someone impressionable and young. Experienced grapplers and supporters not valued here.
