Amazing jiujitsu gym, with a great community. Very high-level training and great competition to make you very good. Whether you want to be a hobbiest, champion, competitor this is a great place for all people.

Best place in Grand Rapids to learn no gi jiu jitsu and practical grappling skills. Coach Chili is always on point and classes are fun and engaging. Teammates here are both tough and supportive. Highly recommend if you want to get into jiu jitsu or are looking for a solid no gi experience.

Chili is an awesome teacher and is equally skilled on the mat. I did a drop in and was treated like I had been training there for years. I do a lot of drop ins all over the country, and Chili's unique approach to teaching goes way beyond the standard move of the day followed by rolling. If you're local, you shouldn't be training anywhere else.

Grateful to be training with the people of 10th planet GR. The ups and downs of JJ have been extreme but having continued to show up I have gotten so much better. We don’t spend 20 minutes warming up so you get more time for instruction. We train leg attacks right away which starts a foundation of awareness from day 1. Wrestling instruction from Adam has been top notch. Too many others too mention that have contributed to my growth as a killer in training. This is the place to train.

Was visiting Grand Rapids on business and had a couple hours to attend 2 hours of a Monday evening with Chili and his team. Fundamentals and especially wrestling were awesome. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable group. Highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area. Great environment. Only wish I had more time to spend with them. Next time I am in town I will be reaching out again. Keep working hard Tenth Planet Grand Rapids!

I have tried out several different gyms and this one is definitely one of the best, it is my second home gym. Chili treats every student with the same respect, puts the same amount of time into every student (even if you're cross training) and has created a welcoming environment for every grappler. Would recommend you stop in if you are around.

I've been training with the head coach, chili for a while. Amazing instruction. Entire focus is modern no gi grappling. Very inviting, fun place to train. I've trained a few other places in GR but there's no where I'd rather train than scallywag jiu jitsu.
