My son went into this school bullied, not confident and not mindful of his actions. Arnold's has helped mold him into something and someone brand new. They took this quiet and shy kid and helped him to come out of his shell. His self confidence and respect is beyond amazing. The people he's met and places he's been are going to be life altering memories. So beyond thankful to the Arnold's family for everything they do on and off the mat.
Hands down the best martial arts school around!!! My girl has been in it for 1 year now, and I don’t usually do reviews but I waited 1 year to make one and believe me this school has really helped changed and developed my 6 year old into a confident, strong, self-assured person! I like the fact that there are women instructors (Master Arnold’s Daughters) that teach the class, cause it’s so nice to have women represent and is a good role model for my daughters. These classes are excellent for children, especially in their development, building their character, learning respect for others & themselves & it’s really fun! My daughter has gone to Nationals, is now a red belt & has fought in tournaments. These skills are essential, learning to defend themselves, learning to protect themselves from “bad guys” & learning to fight if it was ever truly necessary. These skills can be carried on throughout their life. If you are wondering if you should bring your child, especially a daughter, I would highly recommend enrolling them, you will definitely start to see them become a more developed, respected & strong person! & you won’t regret it! We will be enrolling my other 4 year old daughter soon too!

Arnold’s Martial Arts is a fantastic community! I’ve really enjoyed taking the adult classes. All the instructors and students are kind, hard working, and push each other to be and do better. I was nervous to try martial arts again after a long hiatus, but everyone was extremely welcoming & encouraging! Sign up for a trial class, you won’t regret it!
Some of the greatest people, and one of the best encouraging experiences I've had in 51 years of life, I still have a long way to go, but I'm just getting started! I feel healthier than I have been even as a young man, the discipline for me is outstanding and just what the doctor ordered! Much love and respect, proud to be part of the family!
What started out as just looking for after school care, turned in to something way more. Eight years later my son still loves going to class! He's made lifelong friends, but karate has given him skills that he will use for the rest of his life. To watch my son's transformation & see him grow into a confident young man is worth all of the hours & money spent. The Arnold's are not just fantastic instructors, they have also become family & are a great support for parents. I will be forever grateful to the Arnold's, not only for their friendship & support, but also for helping my son becoming the young man that he is.

They have great programs for both kids and adults, whether you’re a beginner or well into your martial arts journey, Rick Arnold and his instructors will instruct you and/or your kids in a positive, non-judgemental, uplifting way. If you want to know what it feels like to feel good about your martial arts journey, no matter what stage you are in, Arnold’s is the place to go!!
Arnolds is great place for kids to learn martial arts. More importantly, they learn respect, honor and manners. Our grandson has enjoyed his class so much. The class has improved his self esteem and defensive training has given him the confidence he will need to defend himself if the situation should arise. The staff is firm but always fair and are excellent teachers. By watching these instructors in class, you can see they enjoy their job and care for their students. I would recommend them to any parent wanting to build their children's overall wellness.

Both the child and adult programs are amazing. We love the way the teachers work with our child and different learning styles. The kid classes are so fun and motivating. The way they teach kids leadership and respect grows even at home and school as well. The adult class is really focused on building fitness and self-confidence.
Arnold’s Martial Arts has been a life changing experience for our family in all the best ways! The discipline, confidence and respect they teach goes way beyond the mat. Been a long time now, but my grandson took Master Arnold’s class as a teen. He gained a lot of discipline and learned self control with emotions and actions.
Overall a great teacher, and amazing family
Arnold's is the best! We have bringing our 9 year old for a couple months now and we have a seen a huge improvement in so many different aspects of his behavior. All of the teachers and staff there are wonderful, you truly feel as if you belong to a community. We hope to keep coming back for many years to come!
The leadership at AMA has provided our son with incredible instruction, discipline, encouragement, and responsibilities that have also been rewarded with measurable goals and achievements. The atmosphere is holistically constructive and conducive for shaping young minds toward being great members of their communities- not just getting belts, showing off, or building false confidence in fighting skills alone. We especially appreciate how important faith is to what is taught and caught at AMA.
My eleven year old has just started class and is a white belt. The staff has been knowledgeable, professional and engaging. My daughter really enjoys the class and the positivity surrounded by each lesson. As a parent I want my daughter to be able to defend herself and to always gain more confidence in her ability. I drive an hour each way so that my child can have this experience. If you are in Sherman sign them up and stick to it! You will see changes in your child right away!
Took my child to his first class today. My youngest wanted to come and watch. After the awesome class my son had we will be enrolling my younger son tomorrow it was awesome and suggest this to anyone looking for a positive message being sent to their children. I believe in their principles in discipline and you will reap the rewards at home and they school guaranteed if this transitions past these classes wich by the way is my responsibility so in short...after long lol. Great atmosphere great family oriented staff and great class 5 stars fo sho.
Arnold's Martial Arts is an amazing place. Where they teach your kids courtesy, respect and discipline. They also teach them self respect and how to set goals.
Went to watch our grandson at his Karate Tournament. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They were out of seats, so a female instructor brought us folding chairs to sit in. Enjoyed it very much. Very clean
We are starting our son out in the little dragons program but from the second we walked in the door, everyone was so kind, welcoming, & fun!! Just from the little test class to see if my son was ready for this, I can tell how amazing the instructors are and just how much this is going to teach him! Very impressed already!
They are very caring and reached out to me when I couldn’t show to the little dragons class to make sure everything was okay. Only wished I was able to show up for the time we rescheduled but life happens I guess 🤷🏻♀️

Could not ask for a better team/family of humans to teach my kids discipline, self-worth, humility, character, honesty, integrity, & responsibility. My Son has been enrolled with Arnold's for almost 3 years. When he started he had problems paying attention and was constantly getting timeouts at school. That has completely changed!! He excels at school and our family feels we owe that the Arnold's Martial arts!
The instructors are from the Sherman area and their teachings of martial arts is a wonderful program for children of many ages. Their shows are well put together. They are family oriented. Over all spectacular place
As a martial artist I will be the first to say if I don't approve of something. Arnold's is outstanding. They are definitely a family of martial artists. The family feeling travels through the student as well as the respect. I trust Arnold's and would highly recommend this school/family to others.
