At 48, I had reservations about joining Gracie Barra but the staff and other members of Gracie Barra Quincy welcomed and have shown me that age is just a number. I had shoulder issues, which are becoming less and have gained a huge amount of confidence. Everyone is eager to work with you to learn and strengthen you and the group.

My son started Jiu Jitsu in Quincy 2 months ago and the growth I've seen him make is tremendous! The staff and professors make a point of greeting him personally and pushing him to be his best on and off the mat. I HIGHLY recommend Gracie Barra Quincy!

My kiddo is in the Tiny Champions (age 3-4). I was a little skeptical at first as I didn’t know if he would actually learn much but after attending a few weeks consistently he is really starting to absorb the things he’s learning!! He has so much fun and the staff has been great with him and great to work with as a parent! Highly recommend!

My son is having a great experience training with Garcia Barria. The environment is incredibly welcoming and family-oriented, making it a perfect place for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about your progress. It’s more than just a gym — it feels like a community. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn Jiu-Jitsu in a supportive and positive setting

Gracie Barra Quincy IL is the best school I have trained at. I have trained at 4 different schools in the USA. The level of expertise the Professor has and his coaches are top notch. At Gracie Barra Quincy everyone is treated as family, The positive energy this school has brings out the best in everyone from kids to Adults. Gracie Barra Quincy is the best of the best. If one wants to learn a new skill , get in shape, lose weight and meet great people Gracie Barra Quincy is for you.

Great school with great staff. From entry level experience to tough competition style classes and everything in between. You can get what you need to help with your fitness goals. There is a mix of students from 3 years old to 66 years old; high division wrestlers and years of experience in martial arts to those with zero experience coming in. Great environment among students with an awesome level of brotherhood on and off the mats. Great woman’s group with a strong group of female leadership. I fully recommend Gracie Barra Quincy to anyone looking to build confidence, get in shape, get self defense training or learn a new discipline in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Fun for the whole family.

It has been great to see this school grow from day one and be able to share the community Vitor and Erica offer with my hometown. They had already been running a sister Gracie barra school in Hannibal Missouri almost two years before opening Gracie Barra Quincy. As a Quincy native I was ecstatic for this opportunity to come closer to home so my friends and loved ones could benefit in ways that I have from this jiu jitsu community. You can find jiu jitsu a lot of places but you will search far and wide to find what Vitor and Erica offer at Gracie Barra Quincy. Top level instruction and nothing but love and respect from everyone on the team. They all treat my daughters and myself as family. This is my happy place.

As a new student, I love Gracie Barra. It was very intimidating at first, but everyone there, knowing how it feels to be a newbie, has been nothing short of helpful and encouraging to keep coming back. I set a goal for myself to stick it out for one month, and now having surpassed that goal, I intend to stay on this journey for as long as I can. <3

We LOVE them! We recently moved to this area, had a long time friend talk about so much positive things towards everyone here that we decided to sign our kids up! It’s been nothing but good for us! The owners and staff are so welcoming and really treat your family like their own. Plus they are more than willing to work around whatever schedule works best for you! It’s such a great environment to be in. ❤️

Very clean facility. Professional staff that are very knowledgeable and helpful about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a very fun atmosphere to train. The instructors and team members did a great job of making me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions when I was brand new to the sport.

I absolutely the adore the community I have found through bringing my 8 year old daughter here, so much so that I also joined about a month after her. The classes are fun and even though there are fewer women, we band together like a team and the guys also don't make me feel weird. Everyone is nice and respectful and willing to teach. If you are at all on the fence, please just give it a try! I see other BJJ studios around and they look like such a hole in the wall, dark place. But Gracie Barra is so bright, wide open, and welcoming that it outshines anywhere else before even stepping in the door. So do me a favor and step in the door ladies! We need more of you!

I feel my kid has learned so many social skills that will always help him to make the right thing for himself and others. All the staff is amazing and you can easily see this is the best place in town for jiujitsu.

Both of my boys have been going here since October 2022 and we absolutely love it. They have become more disciplined. If you have the opportunity to do this yourself or for your kids I HIGHLY recommend. The coaches are so good with them. Erica will help you with anything you need! She's FANTASTIC!

An amazing place to build strong friendships and personal growth skills. Hit fitness goals, develope new levels of confidence, learn how to be humble, find an amazingly strong support network that will become your new family. Quincy is blessed to have amazing coaches, and the astounding black belt Professor Vitor who knows how to encourage his students and push them to be the best version of themselves every day. If you're looking for something new, trying to get out of a rut, or just need an outlet from annoying coworkers I 100% recommend trying them out.

A great place to train brazilian jiu jitsu (bjj) with people that are truly invested in your future. Professor Vitor, and Erica have created a welcoming environment for both kids, and adults to learn bjj, and make long lasting friends along the way. Joining is one of the best investment you van make for you, and your family.

I am so happy to have found the Gracie Barra Quincy for both myself and my 6 year old daughter. It has been amazing to see her confidence grow each and every class with the amazing GB instructors. Each day she asks "do I have Jiu-Jitsu tonight?" With disappointment if the answer is no. I only wish I would have had this at that age! For myself, it has given me a great group of classmates to grow along side with. Each of us at different levels of physical conditioning and ages, however, the instruction is catered so that we all can learn and grow together. I highly recommend GB Quincy. If your on the fence, take the free class, guarantee you will love it as much as we do!

I met Professor Vitor at the YMCA. After telling him I would come check the gym out 4 times, I finally made it through the door. Still in my first month. This place is now my family. I am very lucky to share the mat with all these people. You are all appreciated.

I went to this facility for the purpose of a one hour self defense class. I learned many things that can help me should I ever need to use what was shown/taught. The instructor was a good communicator and even helped one on one. This class had a serious overtone, but I and others had fun learning as we partnered up. I would recommend this class.
