My family has been going to Cal Coast Martial Arts for almost 2 years now. My boys started in September 2022, and when they offered moms free training for the month, in May 2023, I joined as well. The instructors are absolutely amazing!! I’m so glad my family started this journey and am excited to see my boys (and myself) continue to grow and thrive in this wonderful environment!
Our kids have been attending Cal Coast ATA Simi Valley for 3 years. Both kids have grown in many ways, not just athletically but in their level of personal discipline, respect towards authority and empathy towards their peers. The instructors are wonderful with kids, even with the challenging ones. Feels like a big family!
My son joined in January 2024 and it has been an amazing experience! Mr B. & Mr. Martin are incredible instructors and have created a welcoming atmosphere while holding the students to high standards. Even though it has only been a few months my son has made so much progress. I’m so excited to watch him continue his journey at Cal Coast!
The classes have helped with structure for our 3 kids and bring them closer together. They look forward to training and getting closer to becoming a black belt. Thank you guys for all your hard work.
We've been coming to CAL Coast ATA simi valley for more than 4 years now and have seen amazing transformation in my kids. Both my kids look forward to the classes here and can't wait to earn their 1st degree black belt and beyond. The support from the instructors here is just great. Mr. B, Mr. Martin and all the other instructors are amazing. I have seen the growing confidence in my kids, their attention span has increased and overall attitude has changed and is still improving. It's an amazing program for anyone and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
We are absolutely loving Cal Coast Martial Arts. Our 5 year old is doing really well. We love their honest teachings. They introduced hard work and leadership.
My son was very nervous going to his class and he wouldn't go on the matt but he also didnt want to leave. Mr. B., Ms. Chandler, and Mr. Martin worked patiently with him so much that now he loves his classes!! Now he is in the leadership class and talks about how he wants to be a leader like the other black belts and come help teach a class!
My granddaughter started training at Cal Coast after I gifted her their 2 week trial for Christmas 2 years ago. The studio is beautiful and the instructors are top notch. Becoming a member of the team means becoming a member of the Cal Coast family and community. Definitely worth checking out.
We walked into the CalCoast ATA doors 2 years ago and love it ever since. My daughter has gained both mental and physical strength over the years. Parents and staff make you feel welcomed and cared for every day. Curriculum is like no other! We enjoy being part of the CcATA fam!
We are 14 year members of Cal Coast ATA. My son started when he was 3 and moved through the program all the way to 3rd degree black belt junior legacy instructor. My daughter and I earned our black belts, also. The studio is family oriented and has been a great support to raising confident, happy kids, with great leadership skills. Every time someone asks about activities for kids of all ages, I recommend Cal Coast ATA!
Cal Coast has been a positive experience for our family. From summer camps, to parent night out, to birthday parties, Cal Coast offers so many opportunities for families to connect and kids to learn. The instructors are encouraging, demand respect, and are always bringing in new ways to make classes fun. Highly recommend!
Cal Coast is amazing place for kids to learn martial arts. The staff are incredible, super friendly and patient with the kids. The instructors are truly dedicated to the success of each student. My son loves going every week and is growing as an individual thanks to their programs.

I am currently a student at Cal Coast Martial Arts and it is absolutely amazing. The wonderful staff here is always helpful and pushes you at any age. I’ve seen 3-60 year olds participate in class and everyone is having a great time while working out. I’ve been training here from when I was 11 or 12 to currently 15 and have been super motivated and excited to go to every class. Absolutely amazing taekwondo studio!!!

A wonderful place and experience for our son. He’s always so very excited to go to his lessons and always has a smile on his face when there. The best part is at the end of the class Mr. “B” always asks the class: did you learn a lot? Class answers , Yes. Then he asks: did you have fun? And the class answers an even louder , Yes! Highly recommended.
My son has been attending CalCoast for about a year now and loves it. The instructors are great and we really like the amount of family involvement they encourage.
My kid has improved a lot during all these years of training. He has great balance and can stand up for himself now. Plus, the instructors are very nice always welcome you in.
Jaxson loves learn discipline and control here. Every teacher is great with the kids and parents. I recommend putting any child in this, it teaches them multiple life skills. And they are very family friendly.
This is an excellent martial arts studio. My son has some social anxiety along with some other learning issues, and the teachers were so supportive and patient with him. His experience here was nothing but positive.
I tried a few schools when my son became interested in Martial Arts. I was a very dedicated student myself before the school i was attending ceased to exist. I have high expectations because of my own experience but the schools my son and i looked at did not feel right for us. Thankfully my son had a birthday party to attend for a school friend at CCAMA. At first I thought how weird to have a birthday party at a martial arts school. But it actually was an excellent idea. It was fun for the kids and they all got to do really cool things plus get a mini lesson. After seeing how Mr B and Mr Martin had worked with the kids it was a no brainer when they offered everyone a 2 week trial for everyone who attended. I had spoken to both instructors at length about their methods and teaching style and they were exactly what I was looking for in a school During the trial after the first class i was actually already sold on the school. However because they are not at all pushy they recommend you ride out the 2 week trial to make sure it is something you are really ready to commit to and that the school is a good fit and that you are a good fit for them as well. After the trial i signed my son up. They definitely far exceeded expectations. I really love the methods of instruction, the attention given to everyone, the positive, welcoming and friendly environment, clean studio and the fact that they teach them how to develop and implement important life skills. I have seen the additional positive changes in my child in the 3 months we have been attending. My son is definitely excelling as a student and in every day life.
They are truly amazing with children If you have a child who has a lot of energy, has trouble listening, following instructions or staying focused or on task and maybe doesn't easily make friends give this a try. The children gain a healthy self esteem, sense discipline, integrity and pride in themselves. All while having a good time.
In the short time we have been here I have seen them work wonders with many children. I can say all the young people attending this school are the most respectful well mannered kids and sadly, these days most kids just don't have have that skill set.
We are pleased to have found a place that feels like home. I can't recommend this school and all of their team that make it all possible highly enough.
From the first day my kiddos and I walked into the studio we were welcomed with such warmth, kindness, and professionalism. We are not only challenged physically, but also in building confidence and good character. This is a community you do not want to miss out on. I can't say enough good things about Cal Coast!
My son Matthew has enjoyed classes very much. He loves his instructors, friends old & new. I have noticed him becoming more respectful and out spoken. He has goals and likes to workout with his friends. A little friendly competition is good for the soul.
The team at Cal Coast ATA is the absolute best! The schools curriculum is really focused on building strong, confident young leaders and the instructor team is amazing at relating their weekly life skills to their student’s everyday life. This school is really about both mind and body which gives it the perfect balance!
Cal Coast Martial Arts is amazing. If you are looking for a studio who is family orientated but will push your kids to be stronger, faster and smarter, this is the place to be. Mrs. Killan, Mr. B, Mr. Martin and Mr. Arabian are all amazing. The staff really makes the studio amazing. We have been at this studio for 4 years and we wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for an awesome experience and really pushing my kids to their fullest potential.

The martial arts experience at Cal Coast is top notch! Structured. Discipline in a positive constructive manner. Our 7 year old has advanced so much; we are still very new just 2 months. The instructors are amazing and they inspires our child. The program is set up to promote leadership and success in every student and their families.
We didn't really know too much about karate and all that it offered before, but the kids begged to try it. We picked Cal Coast and the kids have enjoyed it since day one. It's both challenging and engaging.. and fun too! Kids have learned a lot and are very proud each class - especially when they earn stripes!
We love this studio and the instructors! Our girls have been going her since March of 2021 and I just joined this May after taking the Mother's Day class! It is never too late to start something new! We are greatful for our CCMA community!
We recently joined but our son has been very committed to learning. He is always excited to get ready for class and eager to learn. The instructors are very patient with teaching the kids.

My daughter is taking Tai Kwan Do lessons at Cal Coast ATA and they are amazing! They are wonderful with kids and have done a great job encouraging my daughter as well as instilling respect and perseverance. They truly love what they do and it shows.
My 12 year old daughter started here just a few weeks ago, and has loved it. The instructors are kind, yet firm and she has already learned a lot in the short time she has been there. Plus, she gets quite a workout in every time! I highly recommend Cal Coast ATA.
Cal Coast is a incredible place for any person from 4-80 yr. of age. My nephew Travis life was change from shy quiet to out going ready to try new things. And even got me going. Change your kids life bring them in are yourself.
We love Cal Coast studio. The staff there is amazing to our kids. Teaching them not only martial arts but life skills. They treat their students and families like family. I know there is a lot of choices out there but I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great studio to give them a try you won’t be sorry. Thank you guys for all you do for us and our kids.
This is hands down one of the, if not the, best Martial Arts, TaeKwonDo, studios in Simi Valey and Thousand Oaks. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable. They are great with the children and work well with the adults as well. Would not hesitate to recommend for children or adults. Also, they host GREAT parties, encouraging all participants to get involved.
