  Super welcoming gym with the most real feel I've gotten on the road. Finally got to check off Florida on this trip to Tampa and YCJJC is among the best places I've dropped in to train out. Five countries and twenty-five states now. They have plenty of scheduling options and we're responsive to messaging to make sure it was ok to drop in. Sal, Jake, Brent and Rodney among others made me feel welcome during the casual drill session on Friday at 6AM. I was torn between that and the 6AM Thursday open roll but Brent was a tough as nails, super crafty fellow grey haired practitioner who had some cool stuff to share so this class turned out to be perfect. Location has got great airflow and cool art on the walls along with plenty of space to safely roll. They take health, safety, and hygiene seriously. But to me the best part are all the time slots to work on developing your game with the freedom to explore independently and without warm-ups! The calendar also has plenty of organized class time so they have something for everyone... highly recommended!

  I go here with my two kiddos and we absolutely love it ! What is perfect about this place is they really take their time with you and work with all levels. Motivate you without pushing you too hard. A welcoming environment not only for men but for us ladies and children. I recommend to anyone looking to get in shape, learn self defense or really looking for just an experience..This is Tampas best kept secret when it comes to a great martial arts center.

  A solid group of fighters at this gym. I was fortunate to stop in while I was in town for work and the instructors and students were incredibly welcoming to me and helped me prepare for an upcoming competition. No AC in the gym makes the rounds more fun and your opponents even tougher. Absolutely will stop by next time I'm in the area

  I was able to able to find Ybor City Jiu-Ybor City Jiu-Jitsu Club, and let me tell you this the hospitality they showed the kid was nothing short of amazing. The guys/gals at the gym were super friendly, the rolls were toughhhhh, and the instruction was top tier and detailed. When I come back to Tampa I will definitely be returning because they treated this Georgia guy right!!! #slimjitsu #chokesandsmiles #mattherapy

  The only place where you will get choked harder than your last Tinder date, be more humiliated/humbled than a 1 night stand, and still wake up the next morning proud of yourself. BEST VALUE, FRIENDLY, CLEAN. Staff are awesome, people are awesome, feels like an authentic genuine training gym. Transparent pricing from the get-go Also the price to value ratio is unbeatable here.
