I've been to 9 Muay Thai classes at YarraMMA, this gym is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and supportive. The coach is also an amazing athlete and will refine your technique to perfection! Not only are the classes amazing but they are great value for money — $50 for unlimited classes! If you're looking at training Muay Thai visit YarraMMA!!!
We signed our son (6) and daughter (8) up for classes late last year, since joining both of my children have shown a huge improvement in their confidence and resilience.
The coaches are amazing and have really created a family friendly gym that we look forwards to attending several times a week.
Yarra MMA isn't just a gym it's a family and I can not rate the team high enough. Chris and Ted are such incredible coaches and have helped both my son (5) and I out so much. I truly am blessed to be a part of such an amazing family. They go above and beyond to help each and every student out and are highly skilled in many forms of both fitness and martial arts. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get fit or who is interested in learning MMA. Yarra MMA is honestly the best place I have trained and I have made some pretty amazing life long friends through my journey with them.
Highly recommend. Not only are the trainers incredible at what they do, they are approachable, friendly and professional. They are fantastic at adjusting the workouts to your particular needs and they treat their clients like family. They are super supportive and show a real interest in helping each individual to reach their personal goals. I couldn't be happier than to have found such a great family to workout with!
Not the great place to train it was when Chris was the owner. Has been sold twice in recent years. New coaches constantly, who are selected based on their willingness to 'coach' in exchange for free membership because the business isn't profitable. Dropped in for a sparring class and it was ego sparring from the 1 'regular'. Anger in their eyes every time they get hit and wanting to get even. Told him i dont want to spar any more because Im not here for a brawl. Wouldn't take no for an answer, so I left halfway through the class rather than be forced by the 'coach' into fighting some guy I dont know, who wants to get even. Amateur hour, all day.
BTW how do I get the money back for the 5 lessons I have paid for in advance and dont want to use? Because im not interested in a gym war and potential concussion for both of us.
