If your looking for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to train jiu jitsu this is the place, there are no egos all the members are super friendly and helpful. Van is an awesome instructor that is very thorough with technical details and her passion for jiu jitsu is contagious. Highly recommend if your looking to give bjj a go!

Such a wonderful and welcoming environment to learn in. The coaches are amazing with noticing individuals technique and helping them. The demonstrations are very in depth and rolls here are the best!

Myself and daughter have trained on and off at Auckland MMA for 6years. Life sometimes gets in the way so we've had long periods off but no matter how much time we have off, coming back feels like home. The professionalism is second to non, the coaching is of the highest of standards and the atmosphere is so friendly you feel like part of a team from your very first visit. Every level of fitness is welcomed and encouraged to be the best they can be. Very reasonably priced and a fresh, clean environment to train at. I can not recommend it enough. Hamish and Van truly know the secret to running a successful gym.

I've been going to VR Jiu-Jjitsu for nearly 4 years now; it is in fact where I started my journey in this martial art. In hindsight, I couldn't have chosen a better place. At VR, the technical level and quality of the instruction/coaching is top notch - from adult to kids classes. The coaches are always eager to not only dispense advice about your own development in the art, but they literally get down on the mat to go through the details with you. Apart from this, at VR, it's all about the good vibes. The gym has a very friendly environment, which allows people to be themselves and develop at their on pace. Whether its before, during, or after the vibe never changes. If you're looking to get into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, look no further. This is the place to go to!
