I went to Veneration BJJ while visiting family in Kenosha. I highly recommend this academy. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and patient. We worked on a technique, applied it in situational, then worked on hitting the technique during live spar/roll. I will definitely be applying what I learned in my first BJJ competition. The academy was very mellow and I will be returning the next time we visit. Thank you for having me, Veneration!

This is an extremely welcoming gym with great instruction. I have visited a variety of gyms and this one stands out as a top place to visit. The training partners want to learn, not destroy you, and the updated flooring makes stand up drills seem like nothing. I would not hesitate to come back.

I am a frequent guest of this gym and I give it the highest rating. The atmosphere is great for learning, the facilities are nice and the coaching is excellent. If you live in the Kenosha/Racine area, I highly recommend you check it out. Whether you are brand new to the sport or an experienced black belt, you will learn so much and you will enjoy doing it.

Veneration Jiu Jitsu (and the family and affiliates) has been a place that I’ve called home for 7 years. This academy is inclusive in that it accepts all. We have a number of adult and kid competitors at various levels. We also provide and welcome the hobbyists (those who may not want to compete), too. I’ve grown as a martial artist and person within the academy walls, and I plan to have my children do the same. My wife attends classes, too. Our female members are growing, allowing for more training partners for all. I highly recommend this academy. From our white belts to black belts, all are welcoming, knowledgeable, and willing to help whoever walks through the door.

This place is top notch. I joined here just over 6 months ago with my twin 6 year olds. Having never done any martial arts the instruction and support from Professors Jameel and Doc has been second to none. 9 classes a week are available which makes this club exceptional value for money, the Veneration family are so welcoming. Regarding the kids section I have seen a huge increase in confidence in my twins and Coaches Gil and Kevin are brilliant with the kids while still holding them accountable. If you are looking for a high quality Brazilian Jiu jitsu gym look no further.

If you think that waking up and having your body contorted and esophagus closed sounds fun, stop on by! Seriously, I love Doc's morning classes; he answers questions, and he goes into depth on concepts. Fun fact, if Doc says, "This is the last thing I'll say about this..." he's about to delve into the idea for about 5 minutes. Great community, great classes, great hobby. Honestly, for a group of guys who choke eachother, it's a real nice bunch. Please stop by for a free trial!!!

Joined this gym to learn from a Naga Champion. Ended up getting charged for membership after being told I don’t fit the environment of the Gym. Asked for refund, was basically told “screw you”. Had to go through bank to try and get my money back, we will see.
