one of my favorite places is a very fun environment and has a variety of classes !
I love this gym. The spacing is really good so even when it gets busy it doesn't feel crowded and there are more options with regard to structuring your workouts.
I love this place
Kick box classes are great, Osseh is a good coach. Recommended.
Exelent
The place to work out, period.
UFC Concord is a great gym to visit. It's equipped with all the necessary tools and isn't overly crowded. You won't have to wait long to use the bench press. Additionally, the changing rooms and bathrooms are kept clean.
Plenty of equipment to go around. This gym has been my favorite out of all of the other gyms in concord. Their hours work for my lifestyle and my kids actually enjoy going to the kids club while I workout. They previously used to go to the kids club at City Sport and they would cry every time we’d leave them there. So all in all, a very family friendly club with great staff and atmosphere.
Full and total mma and fitnes. Ossssss!
My Name is Terri I Enjoy working out at UFC gym Concord the gym is Spacious & the new Management is Awesome they show so much concern for the members and take the time out for them to help meet there needs & ask questions to reach their goals to form the body that they would like to wake up and see, The new set up is great & how it is organize now is great the Smoothies are amazing now I fill good when I go work out where I no they care UFC Gym Concord the best Gym in the Bay Area never 👎🏼 over Crowded & it’s kept clean It’s a great emolument team that cares about the Gym & the members as well I finally found a Gym that has helped me get fit & healthy as well…..UFC Concord Ca. I been there since 2012 & since it’s been under new Management it’s been great Love the music they play the staff cares the Workout equipment is great the smoothie bar is amazing & it’s clean 🧽
I have been training with coach Kyle for 3 months now on learning the fundamentals of boxing and I absolutely enjoy every training session. Coach Kyle is an excellent coach and I love the way he teaches, for example if he is teaching a new technique he breaks it down step by step and if I’m doing a certain technique the wrong way he will stop me and make sure I perform it the right way and he’ll have me perform it till I get the certain technique right and I thank him for being patient with me. I certainly feel I have learned a lot of knowledge in the 3 months I’ve been training with my coach and I hope to have him as my coach for as long as I possibly can. In the martial arts world the word sensei means teacher in Japanese and i am very proud to call coach Kyle my sensei🙏🥋👊
Great team kind and caring especially management Mrs Quinn and Jayson Carter's.⭐🌟🏆🏆👍👍
Love this gym. It’s well maintained and never too crowded like 24 or LA fitness. I take personal training with coach Diana and she’s been amazing! Increased my strength and booty a few inches since starting. Highly recommend
UFC Gym is hands down the best gym in the Bay! The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I have had trainers in the past, but Coach Diana is by far the best trainer I have ever worked with. She has been working with me for the past 6 months and helped me hit one of my weight loss goals of 100lbs and tracking to hit my next goals! She is very motivating and even works out with me to hold me accountable! I know I will be able to hit my goals working with Coach Diana, and staying motivated with everyone around the gym. Thanks UFC GYM!
Bill is an awesome trainer that keeps the workouts interesting. It is incredibly motivating going to our training sessions because he does not cycle through the same exercises, which I would be doing if I didn't have these sessions. He is always available and is constantly pushing me to get the most out of my time at the gym.
Everything you need and some. Cool staff. Clean gym. Depending on when you go, you pretty much can get a full work out in without having to wait for weights or machines. I haven't gotten into the classes yet, but they look like they're the business. I'm definitely happy with this gym.
Friendly people good equipment, spacious, other gym goers are conscious of others when using machines and benches
Nice gym, especially if you're looking for a variety of equipment and/or workout classes. There are plenty of classes to choose from, and the membership fees are not too expensive either. I took a self-defense class this Saturday and really enjoyed it. The instructors were excellent! ....Very welcoming and patient.... They made sure to help each one of use learn the moves they were teaching...gave one-to-one attention if needed.
I was so surprised a year ago when I began going here. Then I discovered they have classes too, so now it’s even better.
Love it here and the staff is amazing! I ended up getting a personal trainer, Coach T, and she is great!
Good
Best gym I've gone to at a great price.
This place gets some reviews that really are not representative of how great they are. I don't have too much time to read adults write about petty stuff, but I do have a little bit of time to write the truth. This gym is great. The friendly staff at the door, the clean gym, the easy parking, the available equipment, are all great attributes of a gym. The trainers and even the maintenance crews, always say hello. Tonight I had to take my daughter, because I wanted a quick evening workout and did not have any help at home. I called ahead, and got nice folks on the phone (making sure the kids club was open), then brought my daughter in and 'dropped her off' at the kids club. The person in the kids club and each of the other people at the gym, working hard on MLK Day, were all very nice, professional and super friendly. Thanks UFC. Thank you for working on the holiday. i hope you make some extra $ and have a good night.
Multiple machines and racks so you never have to wait for what you need. Friendly staff that keeps the place clean.
Love my gym.... Been a member for 10 yrs and will forever be one
Love ❤️ UFC GYM. I really appreciate they daily attitude and how accomoding they are. Ask for their bundles and coupons!
Able to push my limits and achieve my goals. The equipment and people are great to push individuals.
Great attention and costumer service. Jason was very helpful and gave us a good tour inside the facility. Big gym with several good classes.
GET YOUR GRUNT ON. AWESOME PLACE. The best part the Workers take Pride and Ownership of the Equipment and facilities. Everything was top notch clean. Easy questions were quickly answered. Mid Afternoon on a Saturday was Super clean and fresh smelling like they just opened
Great .MMA Conditioning class - as usual!
Classes are great and equipment are great.
Love this gym and don't understand all these one star reviews. The "PT" clients in other reviews are referring to the DUT class which isn't private training - it's included in the full membership level. Love the boxing, love the BJJ and can't wait for Kids Club to open up again post-COVID, my son and I love our trips there.
I absolutely love this gym. Its well maintained in cleanliness and neatness, and their floor layout is organized very well. Been going here for a bit now, and ive had nothing but a good experience. Im truly thankful for Hector for signing me up, hes been helpful both on and off the clock by not only helping me get situated but giving me help on my workouts when hes there on his own time. A great dude and a great gym
One of the best gyms! A great selection of workout equipment to use!
Went there a few times way back with a friend he let me use his buddy pass. Amazing gym, clean well taken care of. Really makes working out fun. Can’t wait till they re-open.
The space is well laid out and tons of options to workout on whatever you want. Friendly staff to assist in anything you need, and lots of TVs helps take your mind off exercise (if it's not really your thing).
I feel in a right place, surrounded with the best coaches, best environment for my physical betterment.
A great start to discover yourself in a new way. Get rid of bad habits and change for the better. Great team.
If you are focused and know what you want....this is the gym for you!!! Coach ken is amazing!!! This gym is everything and more than I ever thought it would be. Worth every penny I am spending!!!!
Was up in my hometown for the holidays, needed a gym that was open late. UFC Concord was exactly what I was looking for. It is very well equipped between machines, standard free weights, and kettlebells. I don't practice fighting but appreciated the amount of floor space they had for mobility/stretching/foam rolling. Management was great and very accommodating; seamless registering, was working out in no-time! This will be my go-to gym whenever I’m in the area! Much appreciated! Cheers!
Good atmosphere...been training for more than 7 years here. Wish all the old instructors stayed, like Freddie, Melissa, Angela, Edward, Jennifer C, Amanda Nicole, the list goes on. The management really needs to keep these great instructors. However its still a great gym to get your own workout in. Plus Kev and the rest of the cleaning staff are great! Other gyms do not offer this motivating atmosphere..check it out if you want to make those gains and get shredded!
Complaining customers need an excuse not to workout. Any gym is what you make of it. You can blame the staff but ultimately you decided to give up.
First time trying Strong by Zumba and it was great. Definitely trying it again!!
This is by far the best gym in concord hands down. I definitely recommend it
This location has gotten a lot better over the years
More than just a fighting club cool location and lot of free weights and machine just enough lot of classes to get your cardio on
This is a pretty cool gym. They offer a ton of classes (including classes for kids), have a ton of equipment, a smoothie bar, and more. I would say, however, that it's not cheap. To sign up one child it costs you roughly $300 (all their fees which seem a bit suspect), then it will run your about $100 a month, then every year they'll charge you an extra $65 for something else (again seems suspect). Ultimately, they kinda nickel and dime you. Not that big of a deal. That being stated, the gym is cool and we'll continue to go.
Excelente experiencia!!! Tenía un pase de cortesía pero la amabilidad del persona es increíble!!
Great gym and clean.. sauna but no massage chairs
I like this gym because it's not as packed as Planet Fitness. I love the music they play in the gym and how loud it is! literally never change the playlist, it's awesome. The staff is always friendly and I like how they have a smoothie bar in the gym. It's HUGE! There's two floors and I never feel like I have to wait forever for a machine.
Signed up when indoor gyms closed again in November 2020. Paid for one month at $125 rather than commit to something more long term, with two options being somewhere from $60 to $80 range monthly plus a sign up fee. There are several bikes, stair machines, two elliptical machines but no treadmills for cardio. Several pulley style machines, lower and upper body resistance training machines, three squat racks, around eight benches and lots free weights. Hours are good 6ato 9p during week but only open in AM on weekends. Locker rooms open, no showers. Bring gloves the weights are cold from being outside. Plently of sanitizer dispensers and stations with paper towels, disinfectant spray to wipe down equipment. Masks required. Its a good deal considering what the options are during lock down. Staff is friendly. I see classes going around the clock.
I had a very disappointing experience with Kate from UFC gym in Concord today. I received a promotional email to come check out the gym with a friend referral. One time I was there I didn’t get a tour and only checked out one class - didn’t get to see the facility, changing rooms, spa, etc.. I told her that, but she still denied myself and my child a trial and tour, giving us only options to purchase membership without a tour or paying a day fee. I was really considering cancelling my current membership, I felt like my child is old enough to try their classes but the attitude I experienced makes me ti want to ever return to this gym. I am being bombarded with UFC promo emails and when I finally decide to give it a real try and come there with my child I get turned away! Very disappointed. Edited: UFC gym management contacted me and resolved this issue after I posted my review. I ended up signing up for the gym for 3 years with 5 personal training sessions. I enjoy the gym now - classes are great, and trainers are awesome as well. Kids program is too expensive, and their sauna/showers area could be improved, and parking can be a problem. Overall I like this gym.
The staff is the best part of UFC. They are friendly, informative, and do their best to help you. However I had to give only 3 stars because the cleanliness is very lacking. It's honestly gross sometimes in the bathroom and sauna. There are more than a few machines broken as well. I still love this place for the big tires you can throw around, punching bags, and lots of options if you want to push yourself! But UFC please hire some janitors and make them do their job! Please 🙏🏾.
Pros: great equipment and usually not too busy on off hours. Love the sauna. Cons: A little grimy and you better bring really good noise cancelling headphones for the mashups of bad commercial music they blare through the speakers at top volume 24/7
Pros: Decent equipment, weights, and usually not too busy Cons: Equipment is not maintained well. The rubber mats are disconnecting from the Olympic platforms and the weight ends up bending and sinking into the rubber when deadlifting. Also, lots of equipment bolts are getting loose and should be inspected and tightened. Also, the men's locker room absolutely reeks of urine at all times of the day
It's a good motivational gym. The trainer's there are more then happy to insite the the customers. I would like to see their cleaning efforts to strengthen.
This gym could be the best gym ever. They have the most amazing selection of equipment I've ever seen and plenty of it. You can train any way you could imagine. The only thing keeping this gym from a perfect rating is the rampant culture of self absorption and lack of any kind of gym etiquette. I've been here for about 2 weeks totalling about 14 hours and I haven't seen a single person wipe down a machine or bench after using it and no one puts any weights or equipment back where they go when they are done. Weight plates and dumb bells are just all mixed up and scattered everywhere that it's ridiculous. The facility itself is wonderful but I can't imagine how dirty this place will get when staff doesn't have to clean the benches and machines every so often per COVID guidelines because none of the members do.
Love the fact the gym is open during Covid, but hate that even after paying a thousands into private lessons, I am not getting the real boxing experience. Hitting a dummy gets boring after just a couple sessions
I'm probably used to the private gym life now but the vibes here were not hitting. Every single person looked miserable. I also know now that I am not the biggest fan of startrak equipment. Also, I should have known this going on, but the bias toward combat sports is clear with there only being 3 squat racks. All 3 were in use the entire time I was there by the same 3 people who were in absolutely no rush whatsoever to finish their sets (texting). I guess this did the trick, in a pinch, but next time I'm in the area I'll be going to one of the other private gyms nearby.
$25 for a day pass is silly. If we're hoping to upsell customers to a $30 monthly membership on the notion that they might as well since they're already paying $25 for a day, please consider business travelers who have no need for a monthly membership. The front desk would benefit from having more than one attendant, particularly at peak hours (4-8pm). The showers need new heads, reliable cold/hot valves, and soap dispensers. The equipment is respectable, but cleaning stations are hard to find. Towel service is not available, and many of the drinking fountains are a mess, and or don't work. I had a great experience at the UFC gym in Rocklin, CA. This felt more like an LA fitness with red equipment. My humble suggestion: Up the monthly rate to $39 per month, and use that money to improve the facility and hire good help. You'll reduce the number of teenagers and wannabe influences on your floor, and attract more serious clientele, as I should hope the UFC brand already does. Your competition is not Planet Fitness. You exist to make fighters and athletes. Don't offer free passes. Sell $15 day passes.
Meh.
Big spacious gym but equipment was always broken and it would take months before it was fixed. They have classes where people use the barbells and dumbells, so if you like to lift free weights don't go during a class session.
I wish I had read all the negative reviews about this place before! Never again will I sign up for a membership here or at any UFC gym for that matter. The staff uses the same old predatory tactics to keep you in a contract that you want to leave. They avoided my requests, misled me, and withheld important information I needed to cancel, all to collect the basic membership fee from me. This goes for front desk staff as well as managers! If you need to communicate with them, make sure it is done in writing or electronically, and don't let up. They tend to ignore emails. It's no wonder nearly all locations have an F rating on the BBB website. Absurd!
This gym used to be good. It became terrible. If you arrive even 50 minutes before closing, you are not allowed inside, citing “our policy.” It has happened to me countless times. Also, there are countless accounts of being difficult to cancel membership due to terrible service, and get refunded. Many people have been misled that the membership is canceled only to continue getting billed.
They’ll pressure you into getting a membership then imply that you’re broke if you don’t want to. Didn’t mention anything about an annual fee until I asked. Now reading other reviews it appears they’re dishonest and get their money by making it difficult for you to cancel your membership. Wouldn’t recommend.
I’ve been billed over $1100 for personal training sessions that I never signed up for or agreed to. The gym has yet to confirm they’ll issue a refund despite their manager, AJ, telling me that my name was spelled wrong on the subscription (that I never signed up for) and the digital signature they have on file was clearly not mine. Guess they’re raising money to open their new location by stealing from their members. What a deplorable organization.
Hidden fees, charged for things without the members consent. It was extremely difficult and took weeks to get the money back. The second we missed a payment by one day, they charged a non refundable service charge of $23.00. The equipment is falling apart. Members dont clean up after themselves, and the staff are unhelpful. Bottom line, they are out to get your money. They try to lock you into contracts and don't explain all the fees involved.
Summary: You'll never be able to cancel your membership at this gym. I signed up online and put a request to cancel online on their website. Per their policy you can cancel online only if you sign up online. They never gave me a confirmation email, and I kept getting charges on my credit card. By the looks of it on the cancellation form, it looks like the emails would go to the general manager, Martinez. What a horrible management. When I talked to Martinez in person when I visited he gave me very sketchy, off vibes. Looks like I should've listened to my gut feelings and not signed up in the first place. Do not sign up at this gym. I was fooled by their cheap pricing.
Extremely Unprofessional and Deceptive Practices. My wife had a terrible experience with the manager at UFC gym Without properly explaining any promotions or seeking her clear consent, he charged from the card with no authorization. Scam!! When we tried to reach out to the manager to address this issue, my calls either went unanswered, or I was placed on hold for an unreasonably long time with no resolution. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Stay away from this scam
Sales is extremely pushing and inauthentic. I recommend additional sales training so that employees are identifying clients needs, providing a deal/price that isn’t insanely time sensitive (slimy sales practice), and have more compassion from a corporate level for people’s personal circumstances. I was seeking a refund given my recent mental health struggles and having to move across country where there is no UFC gym. I appreciate Ant for speaking with corporate about a possible refund but UFC was unable to do anything for me. Disappointed because I originally joined UFC to help improve my mental health (I enjoy jiu jitsu and kickboxing. I would highly recommend checking out other gyms even though the coaches here are great, sales/corporate/management are not going to help you out if you actually need it.
If I could rate this place 0 stars a I would. To my surprise the manager was the one to assist and sadly she was extremely rude with a take it or leave it attitude. Started off by bashing on competitors comparing the club to others. I was looking forward to upgrading my gym experience ; maybe I am not knowledgeable on the UFC politics but their staff is and if they are an honest disclosure would of been nice, unlike the managers inappropriate suggestion to “put a sign out front”. It is sad to see that UFC chose you to represent them as a first impression.
DON'T DO IT. They make it a nightmare to cancel your membership. I walked in to cancel my membership and was told that the GM was not there, so I could not cancel. The front desk said the GM is at the gym during the day weekdays, so I could come back then (great option for those who work during the week). The front desk gave me a couple of the GMs emails to contact them to cancel and I emailed them same day. Didn't hear a response for a couple weeks, so tried to go through the UFC website. Didn't get a response from that either so finally gave in and went in person during a weekday. I was told A. You have to give at least a 21 day notice of cancelation and B. I'd have to pay the annual fee and the next months dues before I could cancel. At this point I'm worn down by their process and would rather pay the over $100 to end it rather than argue with someone with the mental competence of a walnut and a big corporation that doesn't care. Back when I signed up I paid first month's dues, LAST MONTHS DUES, enrollment fee ($25), and a processing fee ($59). If you've read this far and not turned off, here's a couple other observations that i otherwise wouldn't have taken the time to write a review for but Im here now so: If you like to hit the gym after work (~6pm), just know they run classes at that time and there will be about 30 grown adults running around the gym like a herd of cats from the back workout area, upstairs, and back down. Gym music (not to sound like a boomer) can get so loud that it overpowers your headphones that are turned all the way up. Not a big deal if youre down to embrace the super sick gym playlist. Check out the other 1 stars and BBB rating/complaints.
UFC Concord does Not Honor Contract. Every Year despite Contract Agreement, they increase prices claiming state of Economy. I had to argue 3 overcharges which they gave me a hard time about, stating it was their system, then they act as if they were doing me a favor to correct it. A bad indication of a poor company is staff turnover. Especially with their General Manager. Each claims it was prior Staff that caused administration dysfunction. Yet continues conduct. Expect this treatment when dealing with UFC, Concord. Note: BBB gives them an F rating.
Its a good gym but they always be double charging me when I sign up and then say I have to call the bank then the bank says I have to call them so I lose an insane amount of time going back and forth, and when I first signed up their website glitched and I clicked the sign up button with all my bank information like 3 times and got charged all those times back in October 2022 and still to this day I haven't gotten a refund back and when I sent the manager the email he responded and helped cancel my account but when it came to the triple charge he ghosted me right after when I mentioned the triple charge. I know its them because when I canceled my membership they double charged me again! and even the worker said yeah it was their fault
I wish I could give this place a big fat Zero!!! Star. I been coming to the UFC in the mornings and nights idk what happened to your other janitor in the mornings. Who was always cleaning. This place is very very disgusting now 🤮 there’s a lot of dust everywhere, toilet paper everywhere in the floors, water spills I even found 3 cockroaches🪳🪳🪳my 10 of my friends and I already cancelled the membership not okay.
Sign up for free passs never got it. Went in as a guest couldn't get daycare for my son. Lost a customer for sure taking my business elsewhere
Need that 24hr on Friday-Mon. I never got a reply on why my membership cost the same but the hours of operation cut dramatically?
**5-DAY PASS IS FALSE ADVERTISING AND A LIE* I'm so disappointed in the treatment and sales tactics that were used while visiting. My husband and I just moved to the area, we only needed a two month membership, as I'm sure that was a turn off for most. During our moving process, we were scammed selling our items and have malware/fraud all over our bank accounts. We haven't been able to purchase a membership until we have our bank cleared and new cards, so we were super excited to see this 5-day pass. When walking in, we explained to the sales gal our situation and that we would love to purchase a membership after our pass, our new cards and bank should be cleared by then. We took a tour, the girl was nice, we told her we have been members at Life Time in the past, I kept to myself that I use to be the manager there. I didn't think it was relevant. I trained my sales team for years, and Life Time is no where near this type of gym. The girl kept changing numbers around and when we firmly told her we literally couldn't pay anything to sign up, she said "let me go talk to my manager" which I'm sitting here like, this is such an old school sales tactic!! Like come ON, be respectful of people and their money. I'm so happy we got to experience the professionalism of Life Time. The manager, Jayson seems to have a TON of bad reviews for the way he treats people and nothing seems to be done. I was turned away by how disgusting the place was while we worked out, the VENTS!! Again, I know I'm use to a nice health club, but after we told the manager and girl no, they said "okay well we will just activate your pass for the day." So the five day pass is just a way for them to get the sale on the first day. They will pressure you and it's soooo bad. It was almost embarrassing. We will not be giving any of our money here. Please get it together.
I received a coupon from their corporate emails, $250 for a one year membership. The manager did not want to honor the coupon when I went in person. He laughed and said there is no way I'm getting a deal like that, even after I showed him the email; he said the real cost is $900+ and he continued to try to upsell me private training and jiujustu classes. I tried to contact corporate and it turns out, they have no corporate phone line, they just redirect you to your local UFC gym. He finally honored it after going back and forth, but he made it known that I was causing him a inconvenience. Very childish and unprofessional manager. The gym itself it outdated, and dirty as hell, especially the locker rooms and sauna. Goodluck trying to cancel your membership, they make it hard as possible, Just cancel your credit card. Unprofessional, predatory gym.
My airpods got stuck under the squat rack platform. The staff didn't help get it out and the manager gave me the run around when asked to help me get the airpods. UFC gym didn't pay for the airpods.
Please get it together with cleaning this place! Men’s restrooms urinals are filthy nasty. They look like they haven’t been cleaned over a year. The floor, equipment, garbage cans -nasty and everything needs to be cleaned up. Can’t stay inside of this gym for over 45 minutes. The air is stuffy. I looked at the vents and they are all clogged up with dust. This gym is completely unhealthy to work out at. I am a returning person to this gym but after I finish my personal training, I think i will cancel my membership.
Please Don't send any of your children here because they ROB PEOPLE FROM THEY MONEY AND LIE TO THEM especially 💯being ROBBED BY the manager 💯named Jason 💯..Yeah JASON' THANK YOU FOR STEALING AND ROBBING..FROM MY FAMILY customers Please take your kid's and family elsewhere..UFC. Concord are especially the management team..Team Management guy name JASON thank u for STEALING FROM ME AND MY FAMILY 👪YOU KNOW THAT ISN'T GREAT STEALING FROM families that's just looking for a extended family of helping but PLEASE ANY ONE OUT THERE'S PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE JASON IS SOOOO PATHETIC AND A UNPROFESSIONAL team Management guy also he STEALING FROM families....GET RID OF JASON ITS RIDICULOUS U HAVE A MANAGEMENT GUY NAME JASON STEALING FROM FAMILIES AT UFC..PLEASE DON'T COME HERE...NO STARS
I went and quit my membership I remember ship on the 20th of last month I knew that I was going to start coming in to hardships so I quit my membership. I look at my statement today and they build me even though they said that they were not going to build me I just. I just got kicked out of my house and I need to save all of the money that I can all I got was a sorry I can't help you. I can't Believe my ears they have no sympathy for anybody. All they care about is there 220 a month. Do not go to this gym because they do not care about if you have anything going on in your life all they care about is their dollars I'm still in awe
This place is cheesy
The gym experience was not too bad but holy cow are they massive scam artists! They will rip you off so hard with any kind of gym membership contract that it's really not worth going or signing up with them. They will really really screw you over. Doing that but they'll send debt collectors after you claiming you owe them money even if you do legitimately cancel and sign all of the proper paperwork. Can you believe that? The audacity this company has? I wanted to cancel with them as I had paid first and last month when I first signed up with them but they asked me for 3 months notice before I quit. How are you going to give someone 3 months notice just to quit a gym. They said that the only way to use your first and last month payment when you initially join was to give them three months notice to quit. Obviously I wanted to quit within the next month so I ended up paying for a month and they ended up taking my last month payment for free. They then said that I owed them over $200 and sent debt collectors after me because of that. Isn't that crazy? I would say find a different gym that isn't so scammy
Poor Management. No customer service. Local managers keep blaming corporate for not allowing enough access or control and corporate just routes me back to local managers. Corporate 800 number has no way to talk to anyone at all. No one follows up even if you put in a follow-up complaint or request online. Took payment out of my account months after cancellation. Local managers and social media reps keep telling me someone will follow up; however, it's been MONTHS! It's highly unprofessional and sad how some companies are using Covid as an excuse for horrible customer service. They used to have good managent when I first signed up, although there has been a high employees turnover rate in the last few years I've been a part of this location. I was planning on going back once things have settled back down as I enjoyed working out there but not any more. New members beware.
Since last March I canceled my membership but they are just playing game with me. They are not replying text or email. They keep the money without any reason. When I started in 2 minutes The manager got my money and then he didn’t reply my hi . He told me that anytime without any reason I can cancel my membership but even I canceled but still the manager and the front desk workers they don’t talk with me. I will never recommend anyone to UFC gym in concord. And the BJJ trainer also wasn’t good all members . He was just focusing on few parsons not all . I was doing MMA and for long time but now I hate BBJ and MMA because of that manager and their attitude
Signed up before covid hit. Got a week out of the membership monthly and enrollment fee. Super excited to get the email about opening outside.... But existing members and new members are penalized. My girlfriend and I decided to go this morning.... And the deal was 75 per person a month. Nah pass. Cancelled my regular membership. I get it that covid has really wrecked havoc but don't penalize your members for it. You guys took my money and ran and still expect me to pay more to stay in business? Good luck, and thanks for canceling my membership Joe. Crunch did not do this when they reopened in Daly City. Already waited this long. I can use my bowflex a little longer until a better option reopens.
The gym was great for a number of years and over time it started to become toxic started taking out classes that people actually like there's no actual mixed martial arts classes in there it's all promotion if you're looking for a mixed martial arts career this place isn't going to do it you're better off going to your local MMA gym the only thing that it had going for it with a boxing classes and the jiu-jitsu classes not to mention they screwed me when I try to cancel my membership one of their employees actually did it for me a month later I get a call that it was never canceled and that I had to pay for their employees mistakes
"Manager" Joseph Bekles lied me twice. The first time he called me after when I left him a voicemail and he promised to freeze my account in evening when was order "Shelter in place". He didn't. No calls, no emails, very "professional". After that my auto payment keep working and I reported that him second time. He promised again to answer me by email or a text message. Nothing. I stop my business with this company and recommend to everyone don't repeat my mistake. I reported fraud to Wells Fargo bank. Take care Joseph!
Dont go to this place!!!!!!!!!!!! It's only about money not professional They will say ok to everything but after u sign u understand its nothing it's not like they said!!
I rather enjoyed this gym, but I've tried contacting them several times since March (it is now nearly August) to cancel my membership because I no longer live in Concord. However, they have routinely ignored my calls & emails and they told me the only way to cancel is to show up in person. Now they are saying I owe them a months payment even though I paid in full and canceled well within the time frame outlined in their policy. Seriously, WTF? There is no way for me to show up there because the closest gym to me is over 1,000 miles away. Their classes are good, but their management is criminally incompetent.
The gym was Great at first! The GM at the time (Mike) hooked us up with a free trial pass and waved our fees to join. My wife and I loved coming to the facility until the management and personnel started to change and we got “scammed” out of money over a cancellation issue at the end. Pros: - great equipment for heavy lifting and bodybuilding. - not too crowded compared to other gyms Cons: - trainers will take all the free weights for their client classes, leaving only 50lb+ dumbbells. - training class clients take weights off of machines in use (a lady took a 20lb plate off my bench while I was in the middle of a rep, causing me to lose control) when I got mad, the front lady told me to leave for being “aggressive” towards a PT client. - PT classes will run through and knock people down who are using the lap track upstairs. Trainers and staff do not care and tell you to move out of their classes way. - the facility is not very clean anymore, the locker rooms are a constant mess. - many of the staff, especially the reception are rude and more concerned about their social media posts than customers. You can usually catch them scrolling Instagram or Snapchat when you need any help. - They freeze accounts instead of cancelling them to keep their numbers up, then Start charging again after six months as we found out. They will make you show them all kinds of paperwork to prove it, then offer 1 month refund. Corporate office is no better. - Equipment takes a few months to get fixed, sometimes leaving dangerous equipment available for use until someone complains. - The newer GM, Adam I believe, and the OM female can be very condescending and seem to not care about their customers, but more so their Head count and income stream. They also let their front staff handle complaints directed towards them and let the staff tell you theyre not in the office when they are in fact.
Worst management ever and their kids club employees let my kid get harassed 2 times in the same day by the same kid. They took no responsibility and even blammed me. We no longer go to this gym and would not recommend anyone here. Cooperate was just as bad and I never got a follow-up call but instead had to call every day and get lucky to get help. They did not care that they left my kid unattended nor their GM's bad attitude towards a bad rating I gave them. Be sure not to use the app to give them a bad rating or the GM will find you in the gym and take you to his office.
Customer service is horrible. General manager revoked my whole families membership. He wanted to talk about the rating we gave on their app before we left gym, but told him we had to leave because we needed to take our kids home. (He would not let us leave.) My daughter was harrased by a kid in the kids club, we told staff, excuse was I was holding your other child. Mind you this happened as soon as we got into the kids club. We were basically ignored. Within 5 mins of my child going into her jujitsu class that same kid got on top of my child, grabbed her hands, used her hands to punch her face. No follow up on that. We were also accused of "harrasing" staff for what the policy is for toys in the kids club. Corporate is just as bad. They don't care about any of their guest. They just want to take your money.
