Thomas cares about the people, process and product. He and Erin are uplifting and encouraging in all that they do. I highly recommend what they are selling. Love TK and Erin. Once family, always family!
I was in the Tulsa area for work and dropped in to the 5am class. The gym was a clean and welcoming environment. It was a smaller class, but we were able to get good positional work and open rounds in. I would recommend this location for people of all skill levels.
Loved them in their Jenks location 10 years ago. I thought the staff was friendly and professional. I never felt neglected regardless of my position in life. I wish I could go to their sapulpa location now that their closer to home and I could jog to their location. Thomas has been my teacher since I went to Karate classes when I was a kid and has really diversified his skills in business and martial arts. If you want a clean facility with friendly faces that feel like family you're looking in the right place.
Been going here for a bit and I can honestly say you’ll never want to leave after your first roll. Thomas, Erin, Nate are amazing coaches and partners to roll with. I enjoy every min and I come out a better grappler every single day.
My daughter loves it and it is really helping to build her self esteem. Thomas and Erin are wonderful to work with and made us feel like part of their family from the beginning.
Love this gym! Trained for a couple of weeks and instructors are awesome and know what they’re doing! Coming from a boxing background they were able to help me adapt to kicking and wrestling! Recommend for anyone wanting to improve or start!
Amazing trainers! My kids love the environment. Very friendly and everyone is patient with one another. Perfect place for all levels of training!
Fantastic. Fun and Fast. You at least gotta go try it! I'll definantly be returning, after my body recovers haha
I have been a member at Thunderkick fitness for the last 4 years. I would not be a member at any other gym. I love this place. The atmosphere is awesome and the owner is one of a kind. Thomas and Erin treat you like family and make it a place you want to be. I feel like I have gotten one heck of a work out each time I go which about 4 times a week. Thomas trains with his fighters and works out with his classes which makes it even more amazing. Thunderkick Fitness ROCKS. If you are looking for the perfect gym then this is the place for you :)
I used to do classes here about 2 years ago now I think. At first, I loved it, it was amazing but as time went on, I began hating coming into class. Around December of 2021, I had joined the school wrestling team and had just recovered from COVID. My body was sore and I couldn't breathe all that good. It was difficult to get back into routine of doing Jiu jitsu and wrestling at the same time, all while recovering from being so ill and Coach Thomas, as I remember, told me I needed to "try harder". I was trying as hard as I possibly could since I was recovering and was in so much pain. If you're looking for real Jiu jitsu and to have fun, I recommend going to Jedi In Tulsa instead. (And yes, my profile picture is Matt Dillon, get over it lmao he's hot)
Well, I'm sad to say I did not find jiu jitsu in Sapulpa. Was really hoping I could find a place that would at least teach the basics but, to no avail. While the coach is a knowledgeable striker, he has zero wrestling or actual jiu jitsu background. He's only looking to develop a competition team in MMA rather than labeling his kids classes MMA prep. If you can't even teach your students basic positioning and practical defense, stop calling your teaching jiu jitsu. You're failing them. Also, punches and kicks are not, in any way, associated with jiu jitsu. For the love of all things, stop lying to people. Be honest about your intentions and capabilities. If you're not willing to properly instruct children in jiu jitsu, don't offer jiu jitsu classes.
