Balcones Heights is where I started my BJJ journey with the 42 day challenge. It was nice because I was in a class amongst mostly challengers. So the coaches at the time were able focus a lot of attention on us challengers. The same continues today where most of the challengers are sent to balcones heights to get the basic training. As someone who has been under Professor Daniel for four years I am now a coach myself for the kids class. Not only has this journey been fun it has changed my life all around. I started out as a 42 day challenger and was definitely pushed by the coaches and professor. I would highly recommend the program for anyone looking to get into the sport as they take their time with explanations and give great feedback, fitness tips, and program to follow.

Training with Daniel Pinheoro and Team Shark has been absolutely amazing, it's a second family, everyone is very supportive, and they can help you meet your fitness goals. If you are starting with the Challenge they give you all the tools you need to change your life. I have been training with Team Shark for a year and in that time I have lost 35lbs and gone to two competitions. I cannot say enough about the support and professionalism of Professor Daniel Pinheiro and the coaches at Team Shark

I sign up for the 42 day BJJ challenge at Team Shark and it has been a great experience. Professor Pineihro made me feel welcomed form day one and his vast knowledge and expertise helped me get in to the best shape I have been in the past 12 years of my life. They help keep you motivated and accountable the step of the way and pay attention to you to make sure you know the basics. The meal plan is very easy to follow if and the recipes the provided are very tasty. But it all comes down on your willingness to get better and push your limits. Team Sharks gives you all the tools you just have to execute. Everyone in the gum are very nice and willing to help newcomers. Highly recommended.

Professor Daniel is the best in the business. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the world of Jiu-jitsu. He is very patient with his students to make sure they are learning what he teaches. He doesn't rush through anything. And will go over something multiple times to make sure you are getting it, and are comfortable with the technique before moving on. He treats his "students" like family and genuinely cares about your life off of the mats also. He gets every student to believe in the program and in turn become great teammates to each other. He keeps both of his gyms very clean and germ free. Very proud to be a part of this family for a year and a half already. I'm in better shape at 43 than 33. And eat better because professor Daniel taught me how to eat better quality of food and meal plan. I will forever be grateful to be a part of this great community and family. #Teamshark forever Osss!!!🦈🤙

I recently visited this Jiu Jitsu gym after seeing a Facebook ad for a '42-day free challenge.' The facility is impressive, and there are clearly skilled practitioners, but unfortunately, the business practices leave much to be desired. The 'free' challenge turned out to be anything but: it requires a $600 payment upfront, with stringent conditions for completing it. Instead of a refund upon completion, you only receive a credit towards future membership dues and if you miss a single agreement bullet i.e. punctuality to all practices, food journal entries, etc. then you fail the challenge and lose your $600. That is beyond misleading, it's outright unethical. The high-pressure sales tactics used to push the 'limited offer' were disappointing. I made it clear that I needed to consult with my wife, yet the staff (Daniel) persisted, even offering a payment plan for the $600 fee. It felt more like a hard sell than an invitation to try out Jiu Jitsu. After leaving, I researched reviews and found others with similar experiences, which validated my concerns. What’s more, it seems that negative reviews and comments are regularly removed, adding to the sense of dishonesty. While the gym may have solid instruction, it's overshadowed by these predatory practices. If the product and instructors are as good as advertised, there’s no need for deceptive tactics—just focus on fair and transparent business practices.

After being lured in by the false advertisements, what I can say is I agree with all of the bad reviews here. After explaining to him that I Confused that this supposed program isn’t aligning with what was advert, I told him I want to keep my self accountable and read the contract and make sure I can attend these classes, he got upset that I wasn’t signing the contract to pay $599.00, And ripped the contract right in front of me. Not to mention belittling me for not being eager to give him $600. Saying that he just bought a Ferrari yesterday because it made him happy and insinuating that giving him the $600 and doing this dumb program would make me happy. I’ll have to say is Daniel Pinheiro is a joke.
