Back in October I contacted Coach Bundy to ask about kids classes for my daughters. My youngest signed up and so did I. Team Bundy is rich in tradition, discipline, detailed instruction, and an extremely positive vibe. Everyone in the room is there to help and motivate each other. My daughter is growing as a young girl both physically and in how she carries herself. I enjoy all the adult classes and don't see myself going anywhere else after researching other classes in the area. This place is not only worth a try if you're thinking about jiu Jitsu it should be your last stop.

I have been training with Team Bundy for almost 2 years and it has been an amazing experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and everyone is treated with respect. The hardest part is showing up on the first day when you may feel nervous or just simply don't know what to expect. Our kids have been on the mat for a couple years now and we are counting down the days when our smallest kid will join his siblings (and mom) on the mat. Not only have my kids learned the foundation for Jiu-Jitsu, they have learned life skills. They have gained confidence, learned how to be respectful, and improved their listening skills! My daughter has been training here for almost a year and it has helped her self-confidence and problem solving so much. I have been training here since August 2021 and I can say that as someone with severe body image issues and depression/anxiety nothing has helped me as much as training Jiu-Jitsu has. Yes, I feel healthier and I'm more active but I've also learned to trust my body and push myself to see what I'm capable of. Through Jiu-Jitsu I'm learning to love myself and change my attitude on life in general. I cannot recommend this gym enough. I've felt welcomed, accepted and encouraged every step of the way and I can't imagine training anywhere else. Worth every single cent and every minute of my time times a hundred.

I did 6 months of training under Jim Bundy years ago. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I was recommended to him from a close friend who was already in the Jiu Jitsu community. Since my training, I have had more than one experience where I took what I learned on the mat and applied it practically and positively in very dangerous situations. There is something special to me about BJJ and especially Master Bundy. The end of training is especially positive and his words echo in my mind to this day and help me when I am feeling like giving up in difficult life situations. I am so close to be able to go back to him and work my way through white and get to blue under him. Thank you again, sir - hope to see you soon and glad that it seems you have been able to make it through Covid. OSS!!

My son and I have been attending classes here since August and October respectively. The Team Bundy Academy is a welcoming and clean facility, where any age and any ability can succeed. Kids will learn the value of respect and gain some discipline through fun challenges and games that Coach Bundy incorporates into the actual Jiu-Jitsu lessons. Progression is built in, and Coach Bundy and the other leaders do an amazing job at helping kids learn the techniques. Adults classes are in depth but designed to accommodate any skill level. Each week there is a focus on a certain variety of techniques (rotating weekly), so students will get to see and perform a move many times in practice. Fundamentals are trained and discussed every class, so someone with no experience will pick up on basic BJJ terms and positions very quickly. Coach Bundy is a true professional who uses a "crawl/walk/run" method of teaching that builds on basics. He invites and encourages intensity, but also encourages new students to pace themselves and not be intimidated. His students of all belt levels embrace his welcoming approach, and the entire Academy operates with a respectful attitude that encourages new comers to learn and get outside their comfort zone. 5/5 Stars, our only regret is not starting sooner.

We first went to a free self defense class offered and as soon as I saw her face light up and the confidence during that class I just knew she had to join! With her anxiety it really helps her focus. I have been studying under Coach Bundy for a little over three years now, and joining at this school is one of the best decisions of my life. If you're wondering whether or not you should give Team Bundy a try, I think you should. You'll get way more out of your training than you could possibly realize. It's fun, safe, and you'll learn a wide variety of life skills. Self defense is a much bigger subject than learning how to fight, and we cover it all in our jujutsu classes at Team Bundy. Yes, learning how to defend ourselves against physical attacks is a crucial skill, and we learn how to deal with these situations in an extremely safe, efficient, practical, and controlled way. Our classes are a great workout, so be ready to get in good shape while learning awesome skills! Also we learn about teamwork, leadership, perseverance, self improvement, and living a healthy lifestyle. These things might not be your first reasons for wanting to learn jujutsu, but once you see how powerful they are, they will become the reasons that you continue your training long term because of how impactful they are on your every day life. But really, I can't do it justice in an online review; you need to actually come in the door and try a class to see what you think for yourself. I think you'll be very happy when you do. I can't wait to see you on the mat!

If you are nervous about joining, don’t be. A great academy, a great coach, and great classmates. Facility is clean. Coach Bundy is not only a great coach, but a great person. His ways of teaching are easy to comprehend, and if you don’t quite get it, he will help you until you do get it. His leadership is fantastic, he leads by example, is motivating, and is a great mentor/role model. He not only performs these traits, he instills them into the members of the academy where they perform these traits as well. From day one I felt so welcomed, felt like I belonged. I have never felt like I was being judged or I was not liked. Everyone gets along great, everyone motivates and helps each other. It’s hard to find words to describe how great the academy is, you will just have to come see for yourself!

My family and I have been training with Jim Bundy for over a year and a half. My smallest in little champs, my older in with the junior kids, and myself in the adult classes. In all three skill levels Jim Bundy has a methodology that is easy to understand and follow. With the little champs the games are designed to teach basic Jiu Jitsu movement and mechanics without being over complicated. The juniors get a taste of real Jiu Jitsu in a clean and safe environment where they can start to develop the skills needed for basic self defense. On the weekends I spar with both of my children and they surprise me on how much they retain. I accredit this to the methods that coach utilizes while teaching. Each move is broken down into core motions and the pieced back together into one final technique. While the kids are learning on the mat coach is constantly adjusting their technique to get just one percent better each time, and over time they have progressed immensely. Jiu jitsu has been my escape and though overcoming the challenges on the mat I have learned how to overcome the challenges presented to me in every day life. Jiu Jitsu is a wonderful martial art and learning from coach Jim Bundy is an experience that should not be passed up.

I have been training Jiu Jitsu since 2006 and have had the opportunity to train with many black belts in many different place. I can say that Team Bundy is by far the best training I have received. Coach Bundy is an awesome instructor and I feel like I'm learning Jiu Jitsu all over again with Coach Bundy. The lessons are great and I take away something awesome every class that changes my Jiu Jitsu. I travel from an hour away just to be there. The Truth 2014 !

First tbmma isnt what most would call a mma gym. The only real mma training you will get there is with Micah Bender he has talent, but i and many others agree that him sticking with bundy,may show loyalty but at what degree, i and many others agree Bender could have been a great fighter we have seen flashes of it, but being under bundys thumb stifled him tremendously.Mr bundys prices are down right ridiculous we are talking almost 250 a month for unlimited amount of classes(yes he only lets the ones who can only afford 100 a month come to 3 maybe 4 classes a week.He is all about getting his money u dont pay u go to collections. oh yea no gear its ok bundy will gladly charge you litterally double sometimes triple the price of what you can buy the gear for anywere else,not to mention you have to have a team bundy shirt to participate in class thats 25 dollars. oh and you want to be there when a guest trainer comes to the gym ok cool just pay him 50 more dollars. Alot of his students struggle to pay it all to train while he pulls up in his brand new BMW.Your probably thinking wow for all that money it must be a top notch gym with everything you need to properly train to cage fight!!Nope no cage and one heavy bag.He is a karate intructor at heart i know because i took his tea kwon do when i was a kid and thats how his mma gym is set up not much bigger than a master bedroom with minimal training equipment. With other gyms having better bigger gyms better instructors and all the equipment u need at half the cost literally why would anyone go there. if your not a ju jitsu fanatic its not for u at all. I was mma training (learning the best stuff from Micah Bender) i would continuously beat up the same guys that he would ok to fight in the cage and even though i was a better all around fighter than them he(bundy) said i didnt take enough ju jitsu that shows where his priorities are. he would say OO its about disapline yet i was never disrespectful. He would rather send in fighters that would look silly in the cage getting beat just because they took enough ju jitsu classes which obviously didnt make a difference and i know it wasnt just me thinking all this up i was asked by people that watched us train and the people that went to the gym why in the world are they in the cage and not you i watch u beat the regulary!! Is what they would say to me and all i could say was I have no clue. Bender would be leaps and bounds better off opening his own gym he runs a fight team that is not set up like karate it is actual mma training yet he still is respected by all involved which shows you dont have to run it like a dojo to get repect and disaplin out of your students.Its just crazy knowiung that training at a gym with a profesional ufc fighter is cheaper than jim bundys.by the way i know im not the best speller but you get the point.
