SFS BJJ is incredible! The instructors here are fantastic—they keep things clear and concise, and they really know how to push you to your limits while keeping it a ton of fun. It is an amazing workout, while learning some great techniques. What I love most is the overall vibe. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and there are absolutely no egos on the mats, which can be a big worry when you're looking for a martial arts school. Another huge bonus is their schedule. They run multiple classes throughout the week, not just in the evenings, which is perfect if you can sneak away for a lunch class. I'm 51, and I get to train hard here right alongside my two boys. It's been an awesome activity for us to share as a family. Plus, the Jiu-Jitsu itself has been amazing for the boys. It’s given them a massive boost in confidence, focus, and discipline that carries over into everything else they do. If you're looking for great coaching, real life skills for your kids, and a supportive community, you can't beat this place!"

SFS Woodbridge is by far the best BJJ gym I’ve ever been to! Everyone is super nice and welcoming, and the coaches are incredibly friendly, encouraging, and always willing to help you improve. Since joining, my overall well-being has improved a lot, both physically and mentally. It’s an amazing community that makes you feel supported and motivated to get better every day. I’d HIGHLY recommend SFS Woodbridge to anyone looking to learn BJJ and grow as a person

We enrolled my 6yo daughter back in April and we noticed a dramatic difference in her confidence level and how she approaches new friends. Not only has she grown strength-wise physically but psychologically as well. She looks forward to coming to class and she is no longer apprehensive to grapple with peers whom are bigger or males. Im so happy with this academy and highly recommend.

An incredible place for kids to learn Jiu-Jitsu! The facility is clean, safe and the coaches are highly skilled, incredibly patient and amazing with kids. My son looks forward to every single class.

My son has been going to SFS Martial Arts Academy now for over a year. I have seen such improvement in his skills since starting there, we were at another academy before and weren't happy and decided to try out SFS, we have been very happy with our choice in moving to this school. The teachers are very excellent at explaining things to the kids and taking their time to correct and help them learn new moves. You can see the teachers passion with the sport and how kind and eager they are to teach the kids. I highly recommend parents try them out with their kids you will not be disappointed .

We’ve been bringing our son to SFS for about a year now, and the progress he’s made has been incredible. Not just in his jiu-jitsu skills, but in his confidence, discipline, and overall attitude. The coaches are fantastic with kids—they’re patient, knowledgeable, and really know how to bring out the best in each student. You can tell they genuinely care about the development of the kids both on and off the mats. We’ve been so happy with the experience that we recently enrolled our second son as well. It’s been a great investment in both of them. If you’re looking for a BJJ gym for your kids, this is the one.

SFS Martial Arts Academy has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. The instructors strike the perfect balance between discipline and encouragement, creating an environment where kids feel challenged but supported. Since joining, we’ve seen incredible improvements in confidence, focus, coordination, and perseverance. The coaches teach respect, teamwork, and self-control alongside excellent jiu-jitsu technique — skills that carry into school and everyday life. Communication with parents is excellent, the facility is clean and professional, and safety is clearly a top priority. Most importantly, the instructors genuinely care about each child and celebrate their progress. Our child absolutely loves coming to class, and as parents, we love seeing them grow stronger — physically and mentally. SFS is truly next-level! From the moment you step in, you can tell this is a place that means serious business—but in the best way possible. Coach Breno, Coach Miguel, and Coach Kevin are incredible. Every class, whether for kids or adults, is structured, thoughtful, and designed to help you grow. Techniques are explained clearly for all ages, so whether your child is 6 or you’re a grown adult, you walk away learning something new every session. The week is perfectly balanced: some days focus on learning techniques, other days are dedicated to combat and rolling, giving everyone the chance to apply what they’ve learned. Coach Breno’s pep talks at the end of class are the cherry on top—they’re genuinely inspirational. He doesn’t just teach BJJ; he teaches life lessons, helping kids understand right from wrong, and even as an adult, I find myself influenced and motivated to be better every day. If you’re looking for a BJJ academy that is structured, supportive, challenging, and inspiring, SFS BJJ is the place to be. You don’t just learn martial arts here — you learn how to be your best self, and always striving to be that extra 1% better.

Since my daughter started training at SFS Jiu Jitsu in Woodbridge, I’ve seen an incredible change in her confidence and character. She’s grown so much — not just in skill, but in the way she carries herself every day. Coaches Miguel, Breno, and Kevin have truly become mentors to her. They’ve created such a welcoming, supportive environment that feels like an extended family. It’s clear they genuinely care about their students, both on and off the mats. Love this gym and its coaches. From day one, they have created a space where kids feel included, supported and an active member of a team and a much larger family. This sentiment transcends the kids and extends to the parents, which is amazing. All of their teachings are grounded in collaboration, foundational skills, and repetition that resonate with young kids. They have effectively created a space where my child looks forward to going to train. Friends he has fun with, and coaches that he loves and respects. He is learning many important life skills, mentally, physically and emotionally at a space where he thrives. Could not recommend this gym enough.

SFS was recommended to us by parents of a student. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a clean and welcoming environment. Each child who walked in was greeted by name and a high five, leading to smiles all around. The program for kids is energetic, fun and most importantly, challenging. Kids are pushed to try and practise. New or experienced, all are working towards individual goals. My child after each class says he had fun and wants to come back. That is a reflection of the dedication of the coaches who are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging.

After our son trying out many disciplines, Jiu Jitsu and especially this academy SFS was and is the ONLY one he enjoys coming to. You know that the coaches are doing something right when the motivation comes directly from our son. We never have to battle or force him to get ready for a class. In addition we just have the BEST coaches, so approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, caring, just good old amazing HUMAN BEINGS. The community they have created is unmatched. We love the 1:1 coaching, a place where the my son is also challenged, but now what we love witnessing is he seems to be creating strong friendships. Highly recommended SFS.
