For years I had wanted to start training Jiu Jitsu. Saline JJ opened up at a perfect location and my brother and I decided to try the free trial class. Coach Matt and all of his students made us feel welcomed and were all friendly. It was an easy choice coming back. Coach Matt is extremely skilled and having Gracie Family lineage is a huge Green Flag! Not to mention he is an excellent instructor and great to be around. Almost half a year has gone by and I truly believe we could not have found a better academy to start the journey and get on the Path.

I love training here under coach Matt. He has true Gracie family lineage, a great approach to training and class structure, and is an all around great dude. All members here are great training partners and the academy in general is very welcoming and relaxed.

I’ve been training at SJJ, for 7 months and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned grappler, this gym has something for everyone. Coach Matt is phenomenal—deeply knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping you improve. Every class is structured in a way that builds both your technique and your confidence. You’re not just learning moves; you’re learning why they work. What really sets this gym apart is the community. From day one, I felt welcomed. There’s no ego here—just a group of people who love Jiu Jitsu and want to grow together. It’s the kind of place where higher belts will take time to help lower belts, and everyone celebrates each other’s progress

My brother has put together a great school. The facility is top notch and a great mat culture.
