The Professor and coaches are amazing at creating a fun, challenging and sustainable training environment. If you're looking to better yourself and improve all aspects of your life, you need to try training jiu-jitsu. It is truly life changing. I have trained off and on at different martial arts (all striking based) schools as a hobby for years. I discovered Royce Gracie Academy via recommendation of a fellow student and I couldn't be happier with this team/ family. Now I want to train as much as possible (life permitting) and learn this amazing martial art for life.

I have trained at over 10 BJJ gyms due to travel & the culture at this gym has felt the safest. There’s always free parking. The training partners are super fun and professional. My wife and children train here too. I’m so proud to be part of this team.

Excellent atmosphere to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a fun and safe environment. Professor Shane is one of the best instructors in the lmd. Highly recommend to check it out if you’re interested in learning bjj, personal protection, and want to get in an amazing workout.

The honest truth: - Academy is in the City of Surrey "Wave Pool" building; - accessible to those in wheel chairs or other mobility disabilities; - mats are cleaned before and after classes; - lots of parking; - academy provides a gi if requested; - Kids classes available every Sunday from 3pm to 4pm; - Academy closes only if facilities are closed, otherwise open, if classes fall on holidays; My Opinion: I came to this Academy with little experience in the art of Jiu-jitsu. The other students were of like mindset, meaning they didn't want to injure or hurt you, as we all have different professional careers. Kids' classes are focused on fitness and learning the ground game, preparing my kids mentally, creating confidence and responsibility in a difficult situation. If you are fortunate to train here, you will be surrounded by people who want to see you grow and be part of a growing Family.

I have been attending this dojo for over a year now, and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s a wonderful group of people, who have your best interest at heart. At the same time of learning valuable skills and confidence in life, you will meet a great group of people. I leave here learning something new every time. I highly recommend this dojo.
