Wonderful place for kids to learn Jiu Jitsu. My kids have been rolling here for over a year and they love it. They’ve learnt so much and enjoy attending classes. Coach Hernan is wonderful with the kids and teaches discipline in a very kid-friendly manner. We always recommend him and his team!

I was struggling to restart my health and fitness routines after the pandemic and gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of strength. A friend convinced me to join ROLLSTAR this past summer and it has kick started my fitness journey in a way that I could not have imagined. A great way to stay healthy and stimulate your brain at the same time! The classes are top notch and the community keeps me coming! Really love learning from the coaches and the accountability aspect.

Rollstar is SUCH a great place! We had our 4 yr old enrolled here and he absolutely loved it. My toddler can really be a handful, but Dr. Hernan, the founder and little pandas instructor, was always so so kind and so patient with all of the kids. We found that all of the other families and kids too that are enrolled are so welcoming, encouraging, and kind and it just overall feels like a such a warm and safe space. I also love that parents are welcome to hang out and watch during the classes! I feel like with younger kids that really helps the kids (and parents) to feel more comfortable when theyre just starting out. It's truly an incredible activity to help kids channel their energy in a fun and productive way. We're so sad to leave Rollstar but we had a family emergency and are having to move out of state now, or we definitely would've continued for years to come. Cannot recommend this academy enough!!

I have visited Roll Star Jiu Jitsu Academy several times over the years, and I have felt welcomed every time. The students will take time to talk to you, and that means a lot. The training was incredible. Professor Hernan was very detailed and took time to work with each individual in his class. I make it a point to stop at Roll Star in the Catonsville area for World Class training! I encourage anybody who can visit Roll Star to do so!

Highly recommend! My 10 year old daughter currently attends , family owned business, the owner is cool , and down to earth , I love the rapport and the way he communicates with the kids . Definitely teaches lessons that can be applied on and off the mat.

The facility is clean, the instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Whether you're a beginner or someone who's been training for a while you will definitely learn a lot while having fun with a group of amazing people. Rollstar offers a great variety of classes, including BJJ, Muay Thai and Boxing. They also host great seminars quite often. If you’re looking for a place to learn a martial art, practice self defense, get in great shape, and make friends, Rollstar is the way to go!

Super clean and welcoming gym. Dropped in for the first time at the gym and had a great time drilling and rolling. Lots of people at different levels to roll with and the instructor, Professor Hernan, teaches the details really well so that techniques that you thought you already knew are taken to an entirely different level. He also spent extra time with me after practice to go through some competition prep and a better idea of what my game plan should look like which I really appreciated. Great environment to progress quickly and amazing teaching. Looking forward to my next chance to train here again!

I’ve attended Rollstar for about a year and my expectations have been exceeded in all aspects of BJJ. Rollstar has a great blend of competitors and hobbyist all looking to improve. On the business side Rollstar is willing to be upfront about pricing and has some of the best prices in the area without sacrificing quality. On the BJJ side Rollstar is willing to evolve with the times and partake in state of the art training methods such as Budokon and ecological approach training. What separates professor Hernan is his humility. He will welcome another professor with open arms and allow them to put their stamp on training because at the end of the day the student benefits. I could go on and on about Rollstar’s quality. This location is highly recommended wherever you are on your BJJ journey.

ROLLSTAR JUI JITSU !! We have been here rolling for 2 years now and my son has learned so much and quick. The coach is very patient and wants your child to succeed to get to the next level. My son is on his way to his second competition already and he loves it! The best part about it , it teaches him self defense as well! The coach is always on time and the class is affordable for your child to learn and use his skills even outside of the gym. Started by jijutsu here at Rollstar and loving it so far! It's a small homey gym with committed members you'll see day over day. Fiz and Aleks are great at explaining fundamental concepts, and we've got some great coaches teaching the adult class. They've got kids classes too which are great for parents who are looking to teach their kids discipline, self-defense or just expend energy!

I recently moved to the Baltimore area and was looking for a gym to join. I had a little bit of BJJ experience and wanted to get back into BJJ. I arrived at the morning class and by the end of class I could tell this was the right gym for me. The group of men and women I train with is very inclusive and welcoming. I feel like every professor and coach is deeply invested in the culture and community we're building. The instruction is phenomenal. At my previous gym, the instructors were good, but here they are next level and I'm progressing so much faster than I had previously. It helps that they invest in you and work with you to develop your jiu jitsu to match your goals and body type. There are morning, evening, and weekend classes available so it makes it super easy to get to class and get however many training sessions in a week you're looking for.

RollStar is an awesome school! The culture is welcoming to people of all walks of life. I have been training for a short time, but the constant encouragement from Professor Hernan and the other members have helped me to continue to growing as a BJJ practitioner and an individual. Professor Hernan goes the extra mile to work with you to ensure you understand the lesson. I recommend it to anyone who want into learn a martial art and get into shape. Professor Hernan & Diego are true students of the game. They coordinated with me to schedule a date to teach a seminar and last week we made the event come to fruition. Very few instructors expose their students to other Professors for fear of losing them and or having their own game exposed. Not these gentlemen. They are amazing instructors who genuinely care about the growth of their students and academies. I've trained multiple disciples of martial arts over 15 years. Rollstar is the best school I have ever been a part of. Professor Hernan is a fantastic teacher, and he knows how to get 110% percent out of every student without making anyone feel out of place or belittled. Not only that, but the fitness gains from Rollstar truly are second to none. This is a great dojo and fantastic place to train BJJ at all levels.

Professor Hernan provides a safe and fun atmosphere to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is beginner friendly and offers multiple classes for different age groups. This place really becomes a second home to you and members treat each other with respect like a family.
